Texas is doing more than any state has ever done to protect the border, but it is clear that more is needed. In the Biden administration\u2019s absence, Texas is stepping up to get the job done by building the border wall. Through this comprehensive public safety effort, we will secure the border, slow the influx of unlawful immigrants, and restore order in our border communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Abbott said that he expects that there will be \u201chundreds of miles\u201d of new wall built in the state. The announcement comes as Biden\u2019s border crisis continued to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-trump-going-to-u-s-mexico-border-as-kamala-avoids-going-bidens-border-crisis-worsens\">worsen<\/a> last month as more illegal aliens were apprehended at the southern border than at any other point in the history of the Department of Homeland Security, which was created in 2002.<\/p>\n<p>Abbott\u2019s announcement came at roughly the same time that Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-desantis-announces-he-will-send-florida-law-enforcement-to-assist-at-border-blasts-biden-admin\">announced<\/a> on Wednesday that he is sending state and local law enforcement to Texas and Arizona as reinforcements to deal with Biden\u2019s border crisis.<\/p>\n<p class=\"e2ma-p-div\"><span class=\"e2ma-style\">\u201cThe Biden Administration ended policies implemented by President Trump that were curbing illegal immigration, securing our border, and keeping Americans safe,\u201d DeSantis said. \u201cGovernors Abbott (of Texas) and Ducey (of Arizona) recently sent out a call for help to every state in the nation, needing additional law enforcement manpower and other resources to aid with border security.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"e2ma-p-div\"><span class=\"e2ma-style\">\u201cI\u2019m proud to announce today that the state of Florida is answering the call,\u201d DeSantis added. \u201cFlorida has your back.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
