Aboushi\u2019s campaign has vowed to hold prosecutors to a higher standard and cut district office budgets by at least 50%.<\/p>\n<p>Aboushi told the WSJ that she would provide an alternative-to-incarceration program \u201cin every case\u201d with no exceptions, including for crimes such as gunpoint robbery, rape, and even murder. She has received a bevy of celebrity endorsements, including from Rashida Tlaib, Shaun King, and Bernie Sanders as a result of her progressive policies.<\/p>\n<p>Aboushi still hasn\u2019t made it out of her primary, however, and if she doesn\u2019t make it past the seven other candidates, her fallback is to run on the <a href=\"https:\/\/workingfamilies.org\">Working Families Party<\/a> ticket, the WSJ reported.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"12.955223880597\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">My family\u2019s experience\u2014and that of too many others\u2014makes one thing clear:<\/p>\n<p>Mass incarceration is a policy failure.
