The picture of him being led by a law enforcement officer comes from the movie \u201cCentral Intelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The claim that police arrested Johnson, known for his roles in films such as \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt3521164\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Moana<\/a>\u201d and \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt2283362\/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3\">Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle<\/a>,\u201d for possession of child pornography has circulated on social media recently. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CQKTrpcNW0G\/?utm_source=ig_embed\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">This particular June 15 post<\/a> features what appears to be a screen grab of a tweet featuring a photo of Johnson allegedly being taken into custody for the charge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFamous actor Dwayne \u2018The Rock\u2019 Johnson has been arrested after being caught with 115GB of child porn (Source: CNN),\u201d reads the post. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/10\/06\/fact-check-dwayne-johnson-flush-turd-donald-trump-shirt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Dwayne \u2018The Rock\u2019 Johnson Wear A \u2018Flush The Turd On November Third\u2019 T-Shirt?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is, however, no evidence Johnson was recently arrested for possessing child pornography. The arrest of the \u201cJumanji\u201d actor for such a crime would likely prompt widespread media coverage, yet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=Dwayne+the+rock+arrested&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwjo55LyvpzxAhUVR0EAHcHvAOEQ_AUoAnoECAEQBA&#038;biw=1440&#038;bih=821\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">none<\/a> could be found.<\/p>\n<p>Despite the image attributing the information to CNN, a <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/search?size=10&#038;q=dwayne%20johnson%20arrested%20child%20pornography\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">search<\/a> of the outlet\u2019s website did not show any articles about Johnson supposedly being arrested for child pornography. The video-clip editing service Grabien <a href=\"https:\/\/grabien.com\/clipsbank.php?search=dwayne%20johnson\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">doesn\u2019t have<\/a> any instances of CNN reporting it on-air.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson has also been active on social media since June 15. On Wednesday, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CQLi2UjLQjN\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">shared<\/a> an image on Instagram of an upcoming People Magazine cover featuring him. He also <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheRock\/status\/1405158905970311169\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">quote-tweeted<\/a> a People Magazine tweet about the outlet\u2019s upcoming issue, saying in part, \u201cAppreciate you @people for choosing this big, brown, bald, tattooed T-Rex for your cover.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Check Your Fact conducted a reverse image search and found that the photo of him allegedly being arrested actually comes from the 2016 movie \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1489889\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Central Intelligence<\/a>.\u201d Johnson shared the picture of him in character on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/5SGWvUIh_W\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">his Instagram account<\/a> in July 2015.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-captioned data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/5SGWvUIh_W\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"13\" readability=\"-10.347826086957\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>Johnson can be seen wearing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0FKctBraQj0https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=0FKctBraQj0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">same yellow shirt<\/a> at several points in the trailer for \u201cCentral Intelligence\u201d on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>The picture of Johnson\u2019s \u201cCentral Intelligence\u201d character being apprehended has previously been shared alongside allegations of the actor being arrested. In 2016, the fact-checking website Snopes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.snopes.com\/fact-check\/dwayne-johnson-arresting-for-importing-hgh\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">debunked<\/a> the claim that Johnson was arrested for importing human growth hormone into Australia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>An image shared on Instagram claims actor Dwayne \u201cThe Rock\u201d Johnson was arrested for having child pornography.
