Greg Abbott (R-Texas) to get a first-hand look at the southern border. The 45th President made the announcement in a press release on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Trump went on to say Joe Biden inherited the \u201cstrongest, safest and most secure southern border in U.S. history\u201d and argued he has completely destroyed it within a matter of weeks. He added when he was in office, the border was the envy of the world and now it is pitied by world leaders.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BorderSummitTX?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BorderSummitTX<\/a> brought local officials &amp; residents together to talk about immediate solutions to the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BidenBorderCrisis?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BidenBorderCrisis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Drugs, gangs, &amp; human traffickers are no laughing matter\u2014nor a photo op for Congress.<\/p>\n<p>Texas is doing everything it can to secure the border &amp; restore order. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6r89NTGjQZ\">pic.twitter.com\/6r89NTGjQZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GregAbbott_TX\/status\/1403379287458205696?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 11, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Abbott has recently announced his plans for Texas to fund and build its own border wall. The state\u2019s efforts to solve the border crisis has become one of the governor\u2019s top priorities. He announced on Twitter on Tuesday, \u201cThe Lone Star state will do what Biden refuses to do \u2013 protect our citizens along the southern border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trump also hopes his visit will boost the morale of both the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and border patrol agents. He vowed to show them that he stands by them.<\/p>\n<p>This comes as border czar Kamala Harris has still yet to schedule a visit.
