Greg Abbott (R) announced an untraditional way to combat the growing border crisis under the Biden administration. The pair are teaming up to address the surge of migrants flooding the U.S. southern border.<\/p>\n<p>During <a href=\"https:\/\/podcasts.google.com\/feed\/aHR0cHM6Ly9mZWVkcy5zaW1wbGVjYXN0LmNvbS82ZzNjcVRBYg\/episode\/ZjExY2E5MWQtMzYzNy00ZThiLWEyZDYtZjM5NzM3MWU5ZTlj?hl=en&#038;ved=2ahUKEwik0sjk_JnxAhUJn-AKHT2xD9sQieUEegQIBBAF&#038;ep=6\">an appearance on the conservative podcast \u201cRuthless\u201d<\/a> on Tuesday, Abbott said he will use crowdfunding to raise money for the cause and will accept donations from anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Abbott announced he would be building a border wall after the Biden administration halted Trump-era construction projects. He has already launched a task force and allocated $1 billion for border security. The Texas governor assured he is committed to keeping everyone involved in the loop as he moves ahead with his plan.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Trump accepted an invitation from Abbott to get a first-hand look at the southern border. The 45th president said Joe Biden inherited the \u201cstrongest, safest and most secure southern border in U.S. history,\u201d yet he completely destroyed it within a matter of weeks.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BorderSummitTX?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BorderSummitTX<\/a> brought local officials &#038; residents together to talk about immediate solutions to the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BidenBorderCrisis?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BidenBorderCrisis<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Drugs, gangs, &#038; human traffickers are no laughing matter\u2014nor a photo op for Congress.<\/p>\n<p>Texas is doing everything it can to secure the border &#038; restore order. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6r89NTGjQZ\">pic.twitter.com\/6r89NTGjQZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/GregAbbott_TX\/status\/1403379287458205696?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 11, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Trump added, when he was in office the border was the envy of the world and now it\u2019s pitied by world leaders. He hopes his visit on June 30 will bring attention to the crisis as well as spread awareness about Abbott\u2019s foundation to build the wall and secure the U.S. southern border.
