We never thought we had to worry about domestic enemies. We never thought we had to worry about people who didn\u2019t believe in our democracy,\u201d Clinton said while on MSNBC\u2019s Morning Joe.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"12.444444444444\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">\u201cYou take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution against enemies foreign and domestic,\u201d fmr. Clinton says.<br \/>\u201cWhat we\u2019ve seen over the last 4 years, and particularly since our election in 2020, is that we have people within our own country who are doing Putin\u2019s work.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/B5mKTYwnbo\">pic.twitter.com\/B5mKTYwnbo<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 MSNBC (@MSNBC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MSNBC\/status\/1405146388866940931?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 16, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cSadly, what we\u2019ve seen over the last four years and particularly since our election in 2020 is that we have people in our country who are doing Putin\u2019s work,\u201d she continued. \u201cThey are doing his work to sow distrust, to sow divisiveness, to give aid and comfort to those within our country who, for whatever reason, are being not only disruptive but very dangerous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clinton <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/morning-joe\/watch\/hillary-clinton-putin-is-the-great-disrupter-he-has-a-clear-mission-to-undermine-democracies-114892357949\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> later in the interview that Putin \u201chelped elect Trump, of course.\u201d<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/30\/hillary-clinton-condoleezza-rice-joe-biden-afghanistan-september-11\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Hillary Clinton, Condoleezza Rice Presided Over 20 Years Of War Combined. Now They Want Biden To Nix Biden\u2019s Withdrawal)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The former Secretary of State also claimed former President Donald Trump \u201celevated\u201d Putin, including \u201cwhen he was running in 2016.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clinton has claimed in the past that the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/11\/17\/how-democrats-reacted-to-2016-election-fraud-stolen-russian-interference-trump-clinton\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2016 election<\/a> was \u201cstolen\u201d from her. During a 2019 event in Los Angeles, Clinton <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/05\/05\/hillary-clinton-election-stolen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> \u201cyou can run the best campaign, you can even become the nominee, and you can have the election stolen from you.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2019, Clinton once <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/09\/29\/hillary-clinton-trump-impeachment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> Trump was an \u201cillegitimate president\u201d in reference to various complaints that surfaced the possibility of impeachment.<\/p>\n<p>Special counsel Robert Mueller was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/04\/18\/mueller-found-no-collusion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">unable to establish<\/a> members of the Trump campaign colluded with Russia, operated as foreign agents of Russia, or violated campaign finance laws during the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting that sparked a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2017\/06\/18\/adam-schiff-admits-theres-no-proof-of-trump-russia-collusion-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">probe<\/a> into Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Mueller did find, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/04\/18\/barr-mueller-no-collusion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">evidence<\/a> of contact between Trump campaign officials and individuals who claimed to have ties to the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/01\/26\/schiff-russia-collusion-mueller-exonerate-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Russian<\/a> government.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Office evaluated the contacts under several sets of federal laws, including conspiracy laws and statutes governing foreign agents who operate in the United States,\u201d one portion of the Mueller report read. \u201cAfter considering the available evidence, the Office did not pursue charges under these statutes against any of the individuals discussed in Section IV above\u2013 with the exception of [Foreign Agents Registration Act] charges against Paul Manafort and Richard Gates based on their activities on behalf of Ukraine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Senate Intelligence Committee <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/08\/18\/senate-intelligence-steele-dossier-collusion-trump-russia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">found<\/a> in 2020 there was no evidence that Trump or his campaign conspired with Russians to sway the 2016
