The margin of error for the study is +- 3%.<\/p>\n<p>Support for <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/17\/palestine-gaza-hamas-israel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hamas<\/a> and willingness to vote for the terrorist group increased \u201cdramatically,\u201d with the group finding Hamas\u2019 leader Ismail Haniyyeh would likely \u201cdeliver an unprecedented victory\u201d over President Mahmoud Abbas if an election were held at present.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPerhaps most importantly, a majority of the Palestinians think that Hamas is more deserving of representing and leading the Palestinian people while a small percentage thinks Fatah under Abbas\u2019 leadership is the one who deserves to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Abbas is the leader of the Fatah party, which is a rival party to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/24\/poll-israel-hamas-gaza-violence-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hamas<\/a>.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/03\/hamas-west-bank-terror-cartoon-israel-palestinian\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: American Children Watch SpongeBob SquarePants. (THOMAS COEX\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Abbas called off the first election in 15 years in April, claiming Israel refused to allow voting to take place in East Jerusalem, according to the AP. Some have suggested, however, that Abbas\u2019 Fatah party was worried it would lose to Hamas as it did in Gaza in 2006, the AP reported.<\/p>\n<p>Approximately two-thirds of those surveyed disagreed with Abbas\u2019 decision to cancel the election.<\/p>\n<p>The poll also found support for \u201carmed confrontations and intifada rose sharply to 60%\u201d and among those polled. It also found 77% believed Hamas was the winner in the 11-day conflict between Gaza and Israel.<\/p>\n<p>The Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research noted, however, the findings are not unusual and that the opinions expressed are similar to sentiments expressed after similar Israeli-Hamas conflicts.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/10\/hamas-palestinians-gaza-terrorists-missile-rockets-jerusalem-israel-knesset\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Israel<\/a> and Hamas agreed to a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/20\/breaking-israel-reportedly-agrees-ceasefire-gaza\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ceasefire<\/a>\u00a0after 11 days of fighting.
