One email with the subject line \u201cFrom POTUS\u201d urged then-Deputy Attorney General Jeffrey Rosen to investigate alleged fraud in Antrim County, Michigan, even though the claims had already been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politifact.com\/factchecks\/2021\/feb\/01\/facebook-posts\/no-proof-voting-system-michigan-was-designed-creat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">debunked<\/a>. (OLIVIER DOULIERY\/POOL\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Meadows also asked Rosen to investigate additional baseless election-related claims, including one that alleged that people linked to an Italian defense contractor used satellite technology to take remote control of American voting machines.<\/p>\n<p>The documents also revealed how Trump urged his DOJ to <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/12\/08\/texas-sues-georgia-wisconsin-michigan-pennsylvania-election-results\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">file suit<\/a> before the Supreme Court, asking it to void the Electoral College tallies in six states that he lost and request a new presidential special election.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/12\/08\/supreme-court-rejects-republican-bid-reverse-pennsylvanias-results\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Supreme Court Unanimously Rejects Suit Seeking To Overturn Biden\u2019s Win In Pennsylvania)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese documents show that President Trump tried to corrupt our nation\u2019s chief law enforcement agency in a brazen attempt to overturn an election that he lost,\u201d New York Democratic Rep.\u00a0Carolyn Maloney, who chairs the Oversight Committee, said in a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oversight.house.gov\/news\/press-releases\/new-documents-show-trump-repeatedly-pressed-doj-to-overturn-election-results\">statement<\/a>. \u201cThose who aided or witnessed President Trump\u2019s unlawful actions must answer the Committee\u2019s questions about this attempted subversion of democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The extensive document was first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/06\/15\/us\/politics\/trump-justice-department-election.html?action=click&#038;module=Spotlight&#038;pgtype=Homepage\">reported<\/a> by The New York Times, and was made public just hours before the committee holds another hearing into the Jan. 6 attack.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
