Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) has questioned his support for Democrats after they have failed to support school choice. In an interview on Friday, the Florida lawmaker slammed the media for pushing the idea that all black people should be Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Donalds went on to say the left also supports inflation and open borders, which hurts the lower class. The comments come on the heels of a CNN interview discussing the Congressional Black Caucus rejecting his membership over his political beliefs, despite the CBC being officially non-partisan.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Well if the Congressional Black Caucus only accepts CERTAIN KINDS of black people then that the clearest definition of racism I\u2019ve ever heard, and we should give them no credence for that.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Lavern Spicer (@lavern_spicer) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/lavern_spicer\/status\/1403123917112451075?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 10, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI grew up in Brooklyn, New York. I come from a single parent household. I know what it is to actually have to grow up coming out of the inner city in today\u2019s America because I\u2019ve done it,\u201d he expressed. \u201cI think those perspectives are helpful. Whether the CBC wants to take advantage of that is up to them.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The CBC is currently dominated by the Democratic party, as there are not any Republicans who belong to the group.
