I can\u2019t wait to meet her. I haven\u2019t met her\u2026 I hope that happens soon,\u201d Middleton said.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their second child, Lilibet \u201cLili\u201d Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, on June 4. In keeping with Royal Family tradition, the name derives from the childhood nickname of Queen Elizabeth II.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn June 4th, we were blessed with the arrival of our daughter, Lili. She is more than we could have\u00a0ever\u00a0imagined, and we remain grateful for the love and prayers we\u2019ve felt from across the globe,\u201d the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/category\/world\/personalities\/british-royals\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Duke and Duchess of Sussex<\/a>\u00a0said in a written statement. \u201cThank you for your continued kindness and support during this very special time for our family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Though the Royal Family has distanced itself from Harry and Meghan since their famed tell-all Oprah interview, not even <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/royal-family-does-not-publicly-acknowledge-prince-harry-meghan-markles-three-year-anniversary\">publicly acknowledging<\/a> the couple\u2019s three-year anniversary, Prince William and Kate Middleton publicly congratulated the Duke and Duchess upon Lilibet\u2019s birth.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are all delighted by the happy news of the arrival of baby Lili,\u201d\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KensingtonRoyal\/status\/1401614947751243778\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><u>the statement said<\/u><\/a>. \u201cCongratulations to Harry, Meghan and Archie.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Kate Middleton\u2019s welcoming statement regarding her new niece follows a report that she has positioned herself as peacemaker between William and Harry. In a piece for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.telegraph.co.uk\/royal-family\/0\/duchess-cambridge-became-monarchys-greatest-asset\/\">Stella Magazine<\/a>, royal expert Camilla Tominey wrote that Middleton \u201cwas not overawed by drama\u201d and even tried to be a bridge for William and Harry during the late Prince Philip\u2019s funeral.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDespite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex\u2019s Oprah Winfrey interview, when Kate was accused of making Meghan cry during a bridesmaid\u2019s dress fitting and failing to support her, Kate rose decidedly above it all,\u201d Tominey wrote, as reported by the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/femail\/article-9637315\/Kate-Middleton-rose-Meghan-Markles-crying-accusation-royal-expert-claims.html\">Daily Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSetting aside any personal resentment she may still feel about Harry and Meghan\u2019s televised two-hour tell-all, Kate put her best foot forward in trying to carve a path to reconciliation between the brothers,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tominey, Middleton had a rather close friendship with Harry prior to the split between brothers and felt the need to put a stop to the bleeding.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFew would have blamed her for giving Harry the cold shoulder, yet she clearly resolved that the situation needed to be appeased rather than aggravated,\u201d wrote Tominey.<\/p>\n<p>Photos at the funeral showed Prince William and Kate Middleton speaking with Prince Harry one-on-one, which likely was not planned or staged.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t see that as being a staged thing.
