Chip Roy (R-TX) introduced <a href=\"https:\/\/roy.house.gov\/sites\/roy.house.gov\/files\/wysiwyg_uploaded\/Securing%20America%27s%20lamd%20from%20Foreign%20Interference_bill%20text.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">a bill<\/a>\u00a0on Friday to ban the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from buying U.S. real estate.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u2018The Securing America\u2019s Land from Foreign Interference Act\u2019 will ensure that Texas\u2019s land never comes under the control of the CCP by prohibiting the purchase of U.S. public or private real estate by any members of the CCP,\u201d Roy said, as first reported by <a href=\"https:\/\/spectatorworld.com\/topic\/chip-roy-china-ccp-american-land-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Spectator<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn their quest for global domination, China has been buying up land and strategic infrastructure all over the world and in the United States,\u201d Roy said in a statement. \u201cDirect Chinese investment in the US economy is a major threat to the American way of life and requires that we take serious action to thwart the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) from ever seizing control of strategically valuable domestic assets in the US.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As Roy\u2019s statement further said:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"13\">\n<p><em>Data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture shows that foreign investors control nearly 30 million acres of U.S. farmland, roughly the size of Ohio.\u00a0Texas has the second highest amount of foreign ownership with 3 million acres under foreign control.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>In Texas, a Chinese based energy company purchased more than 130,000 acres of land near Laughlin Air Force Base and is now attempting to build a wind farm to access the U.S. power grid.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>In Australia, China is the second largest foreign owner of land and a Chinese real estate company bought an Australian island and then blocked Aussie residents from living there.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>In 1993 China paid the Australian government to lease the Merredin airport for 100 years. Now China owns the airspace and Australian citizens can\u2019t land in their own country without approval from the Chinese government.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Congressman Roy is proud to be joined by Reps. Lance Gooden, Ken Buck, and Randy Weber in introducing this legislation.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Roy has before introduced legislation to oppose the communist Chinese. As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/rep-chip-roy-introduces-bill-prohibiting-u-s-taxpayer-money-from-funding-forced-abortions-in-china\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"22.570762052877\">\n<p><em>Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) recently introduced legislation to strip federal funding from the United Nations Population Fund (UNPF), an international program that is openly complicit in China\u2019s two-child policy and other inhumane population control tactics.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Titled the \u201cNo Taxpayer Funding for the UN Population Fund Act,\u201d the proposed bill would permanently prohibit U.S. taxpayer money from going toward funding the communist regime\u2019s forced abortions and sterilizations. Though he voted against funding the UNPF when he was a senator in 1985, President Joe Biden has recently <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/28\/memorandum-on-protecting-womens-health-at-home-and-abroad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">moved forward<\/a> to reinstate the funding that former President Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/fas.org\/sgp\/crs\/row\/R41360.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rolled back<\/a>\u00a0because of the fund\u2019s ties to China.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAmerican tax dollars should never directly or indirectly support taking of innocent human life through abortion or the dehumanizing act of involuntary sterilization, and they certainly shouldn\u2019t be used to support the oppressive, America-hating Chinese Communist Party in any way whatsoever,\u201d Roy said in a press release. \u201cFormer President Trump was right to stop funding the UN Population Fund due to their open partnership with the oppressive Chinese regime and their support for China\u2019s atrocious human rights violations.
