We should just have her picked up before she goes on. This is outrageous,\u201d Nessel allegedly wrote in an email to her staff on March 12 regarding restaurant owner Marlena Pavlos-Hackney, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigancapitolconfidential.com\/attorney-general-wanted-lockdown-defying-restaurant-owner-arrested-before-going-on-fox-news\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Michigan Department of Attorney General confirmed the authenticity of the email in a statement to the Daily Caller.<\/p>\n<p>Pavlos-Hackney, who appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight on March 17, was arrested two days later before her release from jail on March 23.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Attorney General Eileen Whipple allegedly notified Nessel and other staffers about Pavlos-Hackney\u2019s appearance, to which Nessel asked \u201cshould I be prepared to respond to this?\u201d according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope she gets the full 93 days for this. (Is that the max for civil contempt or just criminal contempt?)\u201d Nessel\u2019s email continued, according to the Michigan Capitol Confidential.<\/p>\n<p>Nessel also reportedly asked whether state police had plans to find her soon or \u201cwait until next week,\u201d while Whipple said she would alert police to \u201cthis new information.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Spokeswoman for Nessel\u2019s office, Kelly Rossman-McKinney, said Pavlos-Hackney \u201cwillfully violated the state\u2019s food laws, public health orders and orders of the court \u2013 a dangerous act that may have exposed dozens of diners and employees to the virus following the discovery that one of Marlena\u2019s customers tested positive for the virus within two days of eating there,\u201d according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMs. Pavlos-Hackney\u2019s decision to then go on national television and flaunt her noncompliance compromised the state\u2019s ability to protect public safety during a global pandemic and likely emboldened others to break the law.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/20\/michigan-cafe-pandemic-coronavirus-lockdowns-whitmer-cafe-rosetta-heikkinen\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Caf\u00e9 Rosetta Defies Michigan\u2019s Coronavirus Lockdowns In A Battle To Stay In Business)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The debacle began after the state <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/11\/15\/whitmer-new-restrictions-virus-cases-surge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">banned<\/a> indoor dining mid-November amid a spike in coronavirus cases. Pavlos-Hackney, who escaped communist Poland, kept her business open, and had her restaurant\u2019s license suspended on Jan. 20.<\/p>\n<p>State police issued a warrant for\u00a0Pavlos-Hackney on March 11 and gave her until the 18th to turn herself in, which she failed to do.
