(Greg Nash\/Pool via AP)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 2:12 PM PT \u2013 Wednesday, June 9, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>White House Budget Chief Shalanda Young has announced increasing taxes across the board would be necessary to finance the $6 trillion spending plan for next year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe reason to do this, to be fiscally sound, to make sure every dollar we spend in the President\u2019s proposal are offset,\u201d she claimed. \u201cWe can do that without taxing people who make less than 400 thousand dollars.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>During a House Budget Committee testimony on Wednesday, Young also admitted Joe Biden\u2019s massive spending plan will likely falter in the Senate due to concerns that higher taxes would stifle economic growth.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cBy pairing the American Family and American Jobs Plans with reforms to ensure that big corporations and the wealthiest Americans to pay their fair share, we can make these powerful, pro-growth investments and set our nation on a fiscally responsible path forward.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 House Budget Committee (@HouseBudgetDems) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HouseBudgetDems\/status\/1402645143526817796?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 9, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, Young went on to say Biden\u2019s main priority is to advance equality through higher spending and taxation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe think that\u2019s responsible to ensure that the middle class and those trying to enter it are not impacted,\u201d the budget chief explained. \u201c\u2026It\u2019s the right thing to do to ensure that the wealthiest Americans are contributing their fair share and pay what average Americans pay as percentage of what they bring in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Young also admitted a possible increase in the federal reserve\u2019s interest rates will make the rising U.S. national debt more costly to U.S. taxpayers.
