Ron DeSantis tore into Dr. Anthony Fauci during an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation following the release of leaked emails reigniting Wuhan lab theories.<\/p>\n<p>DeSantis sat down with the DCNF\u2019s Mary Margaret Olohan Monday morning in Miami, Florida and discussed how he handled <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/07\/ron-desantis-country-music-festival-fauci\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">lockdowns<\/a> in his state, Fauci\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/02\/fauci-emails-muzzle-trump-biden-immigration-video-discussion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">emails<\/a>, his bill combating China\u2019s influence on American academics, transgender athletes in sports, and more. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/12\/18\/kayleigh-mcenany-conservative-women-media-mary-margaret-olohan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: EXCLUSIVE: Kayleigh McEnany Reflects On Media\u2019s Bias Against Conservative Women)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The interview came after the governor\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/07\/desantis-florida-china-ccp-bills\/\">signed two bills<\/a> Monday aimed at combating the influence of the Chinese Communist Party in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo me the most troubling thing was the way they were trying to scurry to tamp down any inquiry in the origins of COVID,\u201d the governor said of the Fauci emails. \u201cThey did not want this lab leak hypothesis to be tested or investigated. And you have to understand why, especially now a year later when we know there really is no other really strong explanation for how this thing could have started.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that\u2019s because there was U.S. money that has gone to fund this type of research,\u201d he continued. \u201cI think that some of these grants end up in these charities that can end up in Wuhan.
