On Tuesday, she arrived in Mexico to speak with the country\u2019s president about root causes behind the surge of illegal border crossings.<\/p>\n<p>Her tax payer funded trip has faced controversy for not including a trip to the U.S. southern border. Things took a turn at a presser in Mexico City when a reporter demanded a clear answer about when she will make that trek.<\/p>\n<p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"VP Kamala Harris Commits To Visiting US-Mexico Border After Being Asked Point Blank\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/hy2X1_9VC-0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/p>\n<p>Mexican President of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador has previously said the migrant crisis is directly caused by the Biden administration\u2019s weak stance on immigration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cExpectations were created that with the government of President Biden there would be a better treatment of migrants,\u201d he stated. \u201cAnd this has caused Central American migrants, and also from our country, wanting to cross the border thinking that it is easier to do so.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even the mainstream media wants know to why the Democrat has still has not visited the U.S.-Mexico border. When sitting down with NBC\u2019s Lester Holt, Harris failed to explain her reasoning for refusing to go.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Cringe. Kamala Harris doesn&#8217;t get it.<\/p>\n<p>Holt: &#8220;Do you have any plans to visit the border?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Harris: &#8220;We&#8217;ve been to the border. We&#8217;ve been the border.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Holt: &#8220;YOU haven&#8217;t been to the border.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Harris: &#8220;\u2026..and I haven&#8217;t been to Europe.
