(AP Photo\/Susan Walsh, Pool, File)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<h5>OAN Newsroom<br \/>UPDATED 8:26 AM PT \u2013 Wednesday, June 9, 2021<\/h5>\n<p>New investigations suggest a concerted effort by Dr. Anthony Fauci and his affiliates to promote the \u201cnatural origin theory\u201d for COVID-19 and downplay evidence of a potential lab leak.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theepochtimes.com\/emails-reveal-how-influential-articles-that-established-covid-19-natural-origins-theory-were-formed_3848832.html\">According to the Epoch Times<\/a>, a number of Dr. Fauci\u2019s emails show he coordinated the publication of scientific articles arguing COVID-19 was a \u201cnatural occurrence.\u201d These include pieces by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ecohealthalliance.org\/\">EcoHealth Alliance<\/a> President Peter Daszak in which he defends China\u2019s response to COVID-19.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">News Analysis\ud83d\udd0eThe 2 most significant articles promoting the \u201cnatural origins\u201d hypothesis for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/COVID19?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#COVID19<\/a> appear to have been part of a coordinated effort originating from a Feb. 1, 2020, teleconference organized by Dr. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/AnthonyFauci?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#AnthonyFauci<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Zwo01OLlQJ\">https:\/\/t.co\/Zwo01OLlQJ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 The Epoch Times (@EpochTimes) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/EpochTimes\/status\/1402289318119579648?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>However, more recent studies suggest COVID-19 may have an unnatural genome sequence, perhaps suggesting a link to gain of function experiments financed by Dr. Fauci and Daszak. For clarity, the term gain of function is used to describe any field of medical research that alters an organism or disease in a way that increases transmissibility or pathogenesis. This is something the NIH director had previously denied he was aware of regarding the lab in Wuhan, China.<\/p>\n<p>The Epoch Times also claimed Dr. Fauci\u2019s allies removed signs of their involvement with articles on the \u201cnatural origin theory\u201d to make them look like unbiased scientific studies.
