Dan Bishop, Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan, Arizona Rep. Andy Biggs, Louisiana Rep. Mike Johnson, and Oregon Rep. Cliff Bentz wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Ngo, the editor-at-large of The Post Millennial, was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/03\/andy-ngo-attacked-antifa-portland\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">assaulted<\/a>, reportedly by Antifa rioters in Portland, Oregon, on May 28.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"10.027624309392\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">????<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/BREAKING?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#BREAKING<\/a>: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepDanBishop?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RepDanBishop<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Jim_Jordan?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Jim_Jordan<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepAndyBiggsAZ?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RepAndyBiggsAZ<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepMikeJohnson?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RepMikeJohnson<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepBentz?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@RepBentz<\/a> demand information from AG Garland on how DOJ is using federal civil rights law to protect <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MrAndyNgo?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@MrAndyNgo<\/a> and other journalists from Antifa\u2019s orchestrated campaign of violence and intimidation. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/v7elJBgrvB\">pic.twitter.com\/v7elJBgrvB<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 House Judiciary GOP (@JudiciaryGOP) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JudiciaryGOP\/status\/1402291183687249927?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 8, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cThe Biden Administration has a responsibility to protect Mr. Ngo and other journalists from Antifa\u2019s orchestrated campaign of violence and intimidation,\u201d the letter continued.<\/p>\n<p>The letter writers asked Garland to \u201cexplain the Justice Department\u2019s current efforts to identify and prosecute individuals involved in the assaults of Mr. Ngo and other journalists in violation of federal statutes securing their civil rights.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">They also ask him to \u201cexplain how the Justice Department, in coordination with other relevant federal and state law enforcement agencies, is working to prevent individuals from engaging in violence and intimidation designed to impair the free exercise and enjoyment of rights and privileges that Mr. Ngo and other journalists possess under the Constitution and laws of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Ngo was assaulted by Antifa in a June 2019 protest.
