The partisan breakdown of the survey was fairly even with 80 respondents identifying as Democratic staffers and 78 respondents identifying as Republican staffers, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/punchbowl.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/The-Canvass-Topline-6-1-21.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Punchbowl<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/07\/vladimir-putin-gop-house-members-joe-biden-nord-stream-2-pipeline-sanctions-letter-russia-europe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: \u2018REPORT: \u2018A Gift To Putin\u201d: GOP House Members Rip Biden For Scrapping Nord Stream 2 Pipeline Sanctions\u2019)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Respondents also gave their predictions on which party will control the Senate, with <a href=\"https:\/\/punchbowl.news\/wp-content\/uploads\/The-Canvass-Topline-6-1-21.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">70% of respondents<\/a> indicating their belief that Democrats will control the Senate after the 2022 midterm elections.<\/p>\n<p>Apart from predictions on election outcomes, a majority of congressional staffers (57%) indicated that the GOP\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/12\/liz-cheney-ousted-house-republican-leadership-role\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">decision to oust<\/a> Republican Representative Liz Cheney as Chair of the House Republican Conference made the party weaker and that progressive proposals such as <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/27\/democrat-joe-manchin-filibuster-vox-interview-hr1-for-the-people-act\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">election reform<\/a> will likely fail (70%).<\/p>\n<p>Staffers surveyed listed China, infrastructure and technology regulation as the three areas with the most bipartisan agreement amongst members of Congress.
