During the rehabilitation process, I cleaned myself up, figured out what was important to me and what I wanted to talk about. It was the worst thing that ever happened to me, but also the best thing that ever happened. It taught me who I was, essentially.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>What he was, it turned out, was a free-thinker intent on standing up to the \u2018woke\u2019 culture. He <\/span><span>first came to fame with the 2018 single, \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oxJtX081jj4\"><span>White Boy<\/span><\/a><span>,\u201d a song about rejecting collective guilt over racism:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>\u00a0\u201cYou can\u2019t just label me racist \u2019cause I\u2019m related to people<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Who did some terrible s*** way back before I was alive<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>My parents brought me up to treat everyone as an equal<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>I refuse to feel ashamed \u2019cause of my pretty blue eyes.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span>From there, his star rose quickly, leading the Inked profile to describe him as \u201cone of the most talked about new artists in hip-hop, with one of the most divisive personas the genre has ever seen.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>But a growing profile hasn\u2019t softened McDonald\u2019s rhymes. His latest release, \u201cSnowflakes\u201d is as hard-hitting as any of his previous work:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>If you lie to the government, they\u2019ll put you in prison.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>But when they lie to all of us, it\u2019s called being a politician.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>You think taking guns away will save our kids from the killings.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>But your pro-choice abortion kills way more children.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span>Of the snowflakes of the title, McDonald says,<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Trigger warnings used to be on TV for seizures<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>And now they\u2019re everywhere to protect millennials\u2019 feelings\u2026<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Y\u2019all are so fake, oh no<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The forecast said that there\u2019d be snowflakes, whoa<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>You can make us see it your way, no way<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>Gasoline and propane, more flames, oh no<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>No more snowflakes<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span>Though largely ignored by the corporate music complex, MacDonald, a former professional wrestler, has released eight albums, and many of his singles have more than 10 million YouTube views. In an<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/exclusive-the-anti-woke-rapper-topping-the-charts-and-shocking-the-music-industry\"> <span>interview<\/span><\/a><span> with the Daily Wire, he said his father told him, \u201cYou may be a rapper, but what you\u2019re doing right now is rock \u2018n\u2019 roll. It\u2019s more about the truth and less about the music.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>McDonald says it was his love of rapper Eminem that inspired him to try his own hand in the genre, and he recently bought an NFT, that is a cryptocurrency token, that allowed him legal use of the megastar\u2019s instrumental for \u201cStan\u2019s Revenge\u201d for $100,000. But McDonald wasn\u2019t just collecting memorabilia from a favorite artist.
