Tim Scott said Sunday that discrimination in America won\u2019t be conquered with \u201cmore discrimination.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHere\u2019s the one thing you don\u2019t do when you\u2019re confronting your challenges together. You don\u2019t reverse discrimination to have more discrimination to end discrimination,\u201d Scott told Fox News\u2019 \u201cSunday in America.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou actually work on a plan that expands opportunity,\u201d he said. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/02\/horace-cooper-tucker-carlson-joe-biden-tulsa-speech-jussie-smollett\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: \u2018One Of The Worst Race Hoaxes\u2019: Horace Cooper Compares Biden\u2019s Tulsa Race Massacre Speech To Jussie Smollett)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The senator said if he was presenting an address to the nation, he would remind Americans that they \u201care the most compassionate, capable, courageous people on the planet. Sometimes we forget that and the first thing I would do is remind us of who we are.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scott said he would also tell his listeners that \u201cAmerica is not a racist country\u201d even though he has been the target of discrimination in his past.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe thing I would do next, is close with something more optimistic, that the next American century starts here, it starts now and it starts with you and it starts with me,\u201d Scott said, adding that America has endured both a bloody civil war and a persistent pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe came out stronger and more resilient because when we stick together there is no place on Earth like home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The senator insisted that despite the upheaval of the last year and the division that defines the nation today, \u201cI am very much excited about the American spirit, our ethos, and what\u2019s is next for us.
