It was going to be called the MAMBACITA shoe as an exclusive black and white colorway on her daddy\u2019s shoes. I picked the colors in honor of her uniform, the number 2 she wore just like her uniform, the inside pattern, Kobe and Gigi on the back in gold instead of Kobe\u2019s signature, the inside shoe details (butterfly, wings, halo), etc.,\u201d Bryant wrote. \u201cThe MAMBACITA shoes are NOT approved for sale. I wanted it to be sold to honor my daughter with ALL of the proceeds benefiting our [Mamba &#038; Mambacita Sports Foundation but I did not re-sign the Nike contract and decided not to sell these shoes. (The MAMBACITA shoes were not approved to be made in the first place.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNike has NOT sent any of these pairs to me and my girls,\u201d Bryant continued. \u201cI do not know how someone else has their hands on shoes I designed in honor of my daughter, Gigi and we don\u2019t. I hope these shoes did not get sold.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bryant also asked if \u201csomeone can share how they have these shoes in their possession,\u201d since she and her daughters do not have their own pairs.<\/p>\n<p>Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna, were killed in a helicopter accident early last year. The National Transportation Safety Board <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2021\/02\/09\/965849491\/ntsb-says-pilot-had-spatial-disorientation-in-kobe-bryant-helicopter-crash\">investigated<\/a> the crash and determined the pilot became disoriented in the bad weather, causing the crash that killed nine people.<\/p>\n<p>As The Daily Wire previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/l-a-county-attorneys-say-vanessa-bryant-turned-a-straightforward-case-regarding-kobe-bryant-crash-photos-into-a-fishing-expedition\">reported<\/a>, attorneys for L.A. County said Vanessa Bryant has turned a \u201cstraightforward\u201d case regarding the improper distribution of photos from the helicopter crash into a \u201cfishing expedition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the wake of the tragic helicopter crash, sheriff\u2019s deputies released photos of the crash wreckage, a move that resulted in a lawsuit from Bryant. Lawyers for Los Angeles County now say that Bryant has turned what should have been a \u201cstraightforward\u201d case into a \u201cfishing expedition,\u201d according to court documents\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/vanessa-bryant-los-angeles-county-lawsuit-wreckage-photos-fishing-expedition-prosecution\">reviewed<\/a>\u00a0by Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>The claim came in the county\u2019s response to Bryant\u2019s attorneys requesting an extra six months for discovery in order to execute more depositions and compile more evidence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis straightforward case, with undisputed facts, has turned into a fishing expedition that is taking first responders away from their job \u2013 and subject [sic] them to public harassment and threats,\u201d the court filing says. \u201cDefendants are eager to have their day in Court and put an end to this.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Further, L.A. county attorneys argued that the court should deny Bryant\u2019s request and said she has been delaying the proceedings.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
