Version: 4.0.47--><div><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/06\/GettyImages-1321532616-scaled-e1622745121297.jpg\" class=\"ff-og-image-inserted\"  style=\"display:none\"><\/div>\n<p>White House press secretary Jen Psaki said Thursday that it was not \u201cadvantageous\u201d for her to relitigate 17-month-old emails written by Dr. Anthony Fauci during the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The press secretary was responding to a question from a reporter during Thursday\u2019s press briefing, which focused on newly-released emails from <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/26\/anthony-fauci-china-influence-world-health-organization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fauci<\/a> exchanged in early 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The reporter asked about one particular email exchange between National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis Collins and Fauci that at the time dismissed the <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/03\/anthony-fauci-christopher-park-coronavirus-origins-pandoras-box-wuhan-virology-coverup-nih-dhs-ecohealth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">lab-leak theory<\/a> as a \u201cconspiracy.\u201d The reporter also asked whether the administration believed that <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/01\/washington-post-headline-covid-lab-leak-debunked\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">COVID-19<\/a> was an engineered bio-weapon.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"10.138613861386\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PressSec?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PressSec<\/a> is asked about Dr. Fauci\u2019s emails:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s been an undeniable asset in our country\u2019s pandemic response but it\u2019s obviously not that advantageous for me to re-litigate the substance of emails from 17 months ago.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XGOe2s1qgs\">pic.twitter.com\/XGOe2s1qgs<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DailyCaller\/status\/1400503691275288576?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 3, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve spoken to this pretty extensively from here,\u201d Psaki said. \u201cLet me just say on Dr. Fauci \u2026 he\u2019s spoken to this many, many times \u2026 and will let him speak for himself.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Psaki then quickly praised Fauci for being an \u201cundeniable asset\u201d in the response to the pandemic and said that relitigating the substance of old emails was \u201cnot advantageous.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/02\/white-house-questions-jen-psaki-anthony-fauci-emails\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: White House Press Corps Has Zero Questions About Dr. Fauci Emails)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A second reporter asked about certain contradictions within the emails in regard to masking and post-infection immunity, and whether the administration still has confidence in Fauci.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe president and the administration feel that Dr. Fauci has played an incredible role in getting the pandemic under control [and] being a voice to the public throughout the course of this pandemic,\u201d Psaki replied.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"9.1062271062271\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PressSec?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@PressSec<\/a> says the administration still has full confidence in Dr. Fauci:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe president and the administration feel that Dr. Fauci has played an incredible in getting the pandemic under control.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/hTDu8tjjnu\">pic.twitter.com\/hTDu8tjjnu<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Daily Caller (@DailyCaller) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DailyCaller\/status\/1400507759129411589?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 3, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.buzzfeednews.com\/article\/nataliebettendorf\/fauci-emails-covid-response\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Buzzfeed<\/a> released a trove of emails written by Fauci on Tuesday as part of a Freedom of Information Act request. One email from EcoHealth Alliance President Dr. Peter Daszak <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/06\/01\/peter-daszak-anthony-fauci-national-institutes-of-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">thanked Fauci<\/a> for \u201cdispelling\u201d the lab-leak theory, despite the group having close ties with the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
