Tom Cotton demanded answers Wednesday from a defense contractor after a report alleged that a three-day training program was hosted for white male executives.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Cotton addressed CEO Lockheed Martin CEO, Jim Taiclet, in the <a href=\"https:\/\/christopherrufo.com\/lockheed-under-fire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">letter<\/a> and asked him to verify various details about the reported program. Journalist Christopher Rufo reported a week earlier that the defense contractor had allegedly hosted \u201cWhite Men As Full Diversity Partners,\u201d a diversity-consulting firm that directed 13 of the company\u2019s senior employees to deconstruct their \u201cwhite male privilege.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"12.956403269755\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">BREAKING: Last week, I called on the U.S. Senate to investigative Lockheed Martin\u2019s white male reeducation programs. Rufo \u2694\ufe0f (@realchrisrufo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realchrisrufo\/status\/1400161533984796675?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">June 2, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cThis training, if it occurred, appears to violate the principle of equal treatment that is the bedrock of American law, including civil-rights law,\u201d Cotton wrote. \u201cTitle VII of the Civil Rights Act in particular forbids employers from discriminating on the basis of race and engaging in any activities that \u2018limit, segregate, or clarify [their] employees.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During the training, employees were asked to list connotations for the term \u201cwhite men,\u201d which elicited responses including \u201cracist,\u201d \u201cprivileged,\u201d \u201canti-women,\u201d \u201cAryan nation,\u201d \u201cKKK,\u201d \u201cFounding fathers,\u201d and \u201ccan\u2019t jump.\u201d <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/26\/lockheed-martin-white-male-privilege-training-christopher-rufo\/\"><b>(RELATED: The War Machine Gets Woke: Largest US Defense Contractor Reportedly Held \u2018Privilege\u2019 Training For White Men)<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span>The trainers reportedly linked the \u201croots of white male culture\u201d to traits including a \u201ccan-do attitude\u201d and \u201chard work\u201d which can apparently have \u201cdevastating\u201d effects for women and minorities.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" readability=\"12.929178470255\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">SCOOP: <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LockheedMartin?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LockheedMartin<\/a>, the nation\u2019s largest defense contractor, sent key executives to a three-day white male reeducation camp in order to deconstruct their \u201cwhite male culture\u201d and atone for their \u201cwhite male privilege.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve obtained internal documents that will shock you.????<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Christopher F. Rufo \u2694\ufe0f (@realchrisrufo) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realchrisrufo\/status\/1397627960052502528?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cThe previous administration observed that the kind of stereotyping and scapegoating commonly found in these trainings \u2018may contribute to a hostile work environment and give rise to potential liability under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,\u201d Cotton continued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The employees were also allegedly tasked with reviewing a series of statements the trainers considered privileges enjoyed by white people, males, and heterosexuals, respectively. The statements including, \u201cI can commit acts of terrorism, violence or crime and not have it attributed to my race,\u201d and \u201cI can take and develop photos of my toddler at bath time without having my motivation questioned.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span>If the training occurred, Cotton requested Taiclet explain how it complies with Title VII although the training \u201crelies on stereotypes and appears to segregate employees on the basis of race and sex.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>A <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/11\/08\/lockheed-martin-trump-china-ad-promotion\/\"><span>Lockheed Martin<\/span><\/a><span> spokesperson told the Daily Caller in a comment following the initial report about the training in late May that it employs \u201cmultiple vendors and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they are aligned with our values, applicable laws and regulations, and incorporate employee feedback and best practices.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Another facility that receives taxpayer funding allegedly has also hosted \u201cWhite Men As Full Diversity Partners\u201d training. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Rufo reported in August 2020 that <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/08\/13\/federal-lab-nuclear-government-white-male-re-education-training-sandia-national-laboratories-white-men-full-diversity-partners\/\"><span>Sandia National Laboratories<\/span><\/a><span>, which assesses the United States\u2019 nuclear weapons, hosted a \u201cWhite Men\u2019s Caucus on Eliminating Racism, Sexism, and Homophobia in Organizations\u201d for its white male executives in 2019 at a luxury resort.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Lockheed Martin is the largest defense contractor in the world, and won $50.7 billion in <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/07\/31\/usaid-trump-agency-instructions-employees-gender-pronouns-spectrum-sex-binary\/\">federal government<\/a> contracts in 2017, more than any other company, USA Today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/business\/2019\/03\/27\/lockheed-martin-boeing-get-most-money-federal-government\/39232293\/\">reported<\/a>. The U.S. government is Lockheed Martin\u2019s biggest customer, paying the company nearly 70% of its revenue in 2018, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/greatspeculations\/2020\/12\/31\/how-much-of-lockheed-martins-revenues-comes-from-the-us-government\/?sh=21c24711629d\">Forbes<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Arkansas Republican Sen.
