Explosions can be seen along with the sound of gunfire.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTask Force Viper &#038; the 36th Commando Bn Killed 4 enemy Captured 25 enemy and secured the Shrine intact,\u201d text at the end of the video reads. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/05\/14\/fact-check-benjamin-netanyahu-speech-knesset-thanking-hamas-israel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Benjamin Netanyahu Give A Speech Before The Knesset Thanking Hamas For Uniting Israel?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A reverse image search of key frames revealed the footage is not related to the May 2021 Israel-Hamas conflict. The verified YouTube channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/funker\/about\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">FUNKER530 \u2013 Veteran Community &#038; Combat Footage<\/a> posted a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KL4ANIYCoqo&#038;t=128s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">longer version<\/a> of the video in August 2020, with the title \u201cHistorical US Special Forces Raid on Golden Mosque.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the description, the channel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KL4ANIYCoqo&#038;t=128s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">further explains<\/a> that the video shows the 36th Iraqi Commando Battalion conducting an Oct. 1, 2004 raid on Samara\u2019s Golden Mosque with U.S. Special Forces troops. <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/KL4ANIYCoqo?t=337\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">At one point<\/a> in the video, an American flag patch is clearly visible on a soldier\u2019s shoulder.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/article\/instant-article\/idUSKAR623402\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reuters<\/a> reported in 2007 that the mosque\u2019s capture by Iraqi commandos was part of a \u201cU.S.-led offensive.\u201d The Washington Post <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/archive\/business\/technology\/2004\/10\/01\/us-and-iraqi-troops-surged-i\/a62e6825-68d4-4544-9f01-9b203e45f478\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a> Oct. 1, 2004, that an Iraqi Interior Ministry spokesperson had claimed the Golden Mosque, as well as most of Samarra, had been brought back under government control.<\/p>\n<p>The Golden Mosque, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/restoring-iraqs-golden-mosque-samarra-88381\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">also known as<\/a> the al-Askari Mosque, houses the tombs of two Shiite imams and is a major holy site in Iraq for Shiite Islam, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/2920692\/iraq-isis-samarra-al-askari-mosque\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Time<\/a>.
