The city government imposed quarantine measures on the residents of five streets, ordering them not to leave their homes and closing nearby entertainment venues and markets, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/world\/china\/china-reports-20-new-local-coronavirus-cases-guangdong-province-2021-05-31\/\">according to Reuters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has a long history of falsifying its data on coronavirus outbreaks, with <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/04\/03\/us-cia-china-data-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">many arguing<\/a> it has done so since the onset of the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The city\u2019s public transit systems now require travelers to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test within the past three days to travel.<\/p>\n<p>China has proven willing to resort to more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/2020\/02\/06\/warning-chinese-authoritarianism-is-hazardous-your-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">drastic measures<\/a> to prevent disease spread throughout the pandemic. Footage has shown Chinese authorities reportedly forcibly relocating people who are potentially infected, as well as welding apartment doors shut to prevent quarantine breach. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/20\/house-republicans-intelligence-committee-wuhan-lab-leak-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: House Republicans: \u2018Significant Circumstantial Evidence\u2019 COVID-19 Originated From Wuhan Lab Leak)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Scientists have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/28\/dismissive-headlines-lab-leak-theory-coronavirus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">acknowledged<\/a> that the lab leak theory, which posits that COVID-19 may have originally spread out of a coronavirus research facility in Wuhan, China, is possible. The theory was originally derided as conspiratorial by U.S. officials and the media.<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/27\/biden-lab-leak-report-china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ordered<\/a> the U.S. intelligence community to conduct a 90-day review of the lab leak possibility last week, arguing it was a possibility that must be considered.
