In this case, that gift has taken the form of the brooding rivalry between Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>There have been rumors swirling for quite some time that the two professional golfers aren\u2019t exactly fans of each other, but it was finally confirmed this past Sunday after Phil Mickelson\u2019s history-making PGA Championship victory.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>On Monday, a video began circulating the internet showing Koepka\u2019s apparent disdain for the brash DeChambeau. The video has since been taken down, but we can give you the play-by-play.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Koepka was giving an interview after the PGA Championship when DeChambeau can be seen (and heard) walking behind him. DeChambeau appears to say something that can\u2019t quite be understood before Koepka \u2014 obviously annoyed by his mere presence \u2014 has to pause the interview. \u201cI lost my train of thought,\u201d Koepka said. \u201cHearing that bulls***.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The video took the internet by storm, spawning countless memes, and speculation regarding the rivalry has reached a fever pitch.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Let\u2019s go back to the beginning to understand the mutual dislike between the two major champions.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>January 2019 \u2014 Koepka Calls Out DeChambeau\u2019s Slow-Play<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>It\u2019s no secret that DeChambeau has a history of annoying his fellow golfers with his style of play. He takes a different approach to golf \u2014 a more calculated, scientific approach \u2014 that can lead to longer times in between shots.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>At the 2019 Dubai Desert Classic, Koepka could no longer hold his tongue.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI just don\u2019t understand how it takes a minute and 20 seconds, a minute and 15 to hit a golf ball; it\u2019s not that hard,\u201d Koepka <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfdigest.com\/story\/brooks-koepka-sounds-off-on-bryson-dechambeau-fellow-players-slow-play-hitting-a-golf-ball-is-not-that-hardits-kind-of-embarrassing\"><span>told Golf Monthly podcast\u2019s Michael Weston.<\/span><\/a><span>&nbsp;\u201cIt\u2019s always between two clubs; there\u2019s a miss short, there\u2019s a miss long. It really drives me nuts especially when it\u2019s a long hitter because you know you\u2019ve got two other guys or at least one guy that\u2019s hitting before you so you can do all your calculations.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Koepka was not the only PGA Tour player to comment on <\/span><span>DeChambeau\u2019s slow play, but he was the most noteworthy.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>August 2019 \u2014 Koepka And <\/b><b>DeChambeau Have A Heart-To-Heart&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>At the practice green at Liberty National, DeChambeau approached Koepka\u2019s caddie \u2014 Ricky Elliot \u2014 to tell him that if Koepka had an issue with him, he should say it to his face. Well, Koepka did and the two chatted it out on the practice green. By all reports, the meeting never turned heated, but there certainly seemed to be an edge to it.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"10.48275862069\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Was standing on the putting green with Koepka&#8217;s caddie earlier when an irritated Bryson DeChambeau walked up &amp; told him to tell his boss to make any comment about slow play &#8220;to my face&#8221;. I appreciate what Brooks did. I have high respect for him because he did that. There was one instance he said in Abu Dhabi, and he said, \u2018Yeah, I said something about that, but it was in general and got blown out of proportion.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>August 2019 \u2014 Koepka and DeChambeau Trade A Few Jovial Words On A Podcast&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>Shortly after their conversation at Liberty National, the two golfers joined \u201c<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfdigest.com\/story\/bryson-dechambeau-and-brooks-koepka-meet-again-about-slow-play-bryson-says-lets-be-honest-hed-kick-my-ass-regarding-fight\"><span>Out of Bounds<\/span><\/a><span>\u201d \u2014 the SiruisXM PGA Tour Radio show \u2014 and were asked about their impromptu meeting.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cPeople acted like the two of y\u2019all were going to fight,\u201d host Micheal Collins said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cLet\u2019s be honest, we know who would win that fight and it\u2019s not me,\u201d&nbsp; DeChambeau said. \u201cLet me tell you right now he\u2019d kick my a**.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cHe\u2019s got that right,\u201d Koepka responded.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>January 2020 \u2014 DeChambeau Isn\u2019t A Fan of Koepka\u2019s Physique&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>During a livestream while playing a video game on Twitch, DeChambeau said of Koepka, \u201cI don\u2019t know if his genetics even make him look good, to be honest. In that \u2018Body Issue\u2019, he didn\u2019t have any abs. For golf purists, it\u2019s an assault on the \u201cgentlemen\u2019s game,\u201d but it\u2019s hard to argue with the results. After golf paused due to the coronavirus lockdowns, DeChambeau returned to the course looking noticeably bigger, hitting drives never seen before in golf.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During his three-stroke victory at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, DeChambeau had a run-in with a cameraman that was caught on video.
