This affects everyone. I look forward to holding the mayor accountable.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, other reporters sharing Lightfoot&#8217;s preferred demographic have come out against her&nbsp;policy. Latino reporter Gregory Pratt condemned the mayor&#8217;s policy on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/royalpratt\/status\/1395025840946262017?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1395025840946262017%7Ctwgr%5E%7Ctwcon%5Es1_&amp;ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fdailycaller.com%2F2021%2F05%2F20%2Fgregory-pratt-cancels-interview-lori-lightfight-discrimination%2F\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter<\/a>. &#8220;I am a Latino reporter [at the] [Chicago Tribune],&#8221; Pratt tweeted, &#8220;whose interview request was granted for today. However, I asked the mayor&#8217;s office to lift its condition on others and when they said no, we respectfully canceled. Politicians don&#8217;t get to choose who covers them.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Lightfoot&#8217;s office did not respond to Pratt.<\/p>\n<p>According to Catenacci&#8217;s complaint, Lightfoot &#8220;purposefully discriminated&#8221; against him because of his race. Catenacci sent interview requests to the mayor on May 20, May 21, and May 24, seeking information on her administration&#8217;s efforts to vaccinate Chicagoans.<\/p>\n<p>However, despite Lightfoot&#8217;s policy, on May 17, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msnbc.com\/stephanie-ruhle\/watch\/mayor-lightfoot-on-cdc-guidance-they-ve-got-a-lot-of-clarification-that-they-need-to-do-112123973772\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">she sat down with MSNBC reporter Stephanie Ruhle<\/a>, who is white.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Judicial Watch, a\u00a0conservative activist group,\u00a0announced Thursday it has sued Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot for not granting interviews to white reporters.
