These days, Kellogg\u2019s is encouraging children to while away the pre-school-bus hours on a different sort of activity \u2014 selecting their preferred pronouns.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The company started promoting its new limited edition LGBTQ \u201cPride\u201d cereal, which features brightly-colored, berry-flavored hearts dusted with edible glitter (ideal for attracting little appetites), back in April. The company\u2019s<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/newsroom.kelloggcompany.com\/2021-05-20-Kellogg-Companys-Latest-Collaboration-with-GLAAD-Unwraps-Why-Boxes-Are-for-Cereal,-Not-For-People#assets_all\"> <span>press release<\/span><\/a><span> and the attendant laudatory <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/lifestyle\/kellogg-heart-shaped-cereal-celebrate-191300930.html\"><span>news <\/span><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.delish.com\/food-news\/a36144525\/kelloggs-glaad-glittery-pride-cereal\/\"><span>stories <\/span><\/a><span>all highlighted the front of the eye-catching purple box that sports the tagline (\u201cKellogg\u2019s x GLAAD: Together with Pride\u201d) along with jolly-looking cartoon spokesmen Tony the Tiger, Toucan Sam, the Honey Smacks Frog, and Rice Krispies\u2019 trio, Snap, Crackle, and Pop. But none of that coverage explicitly mentioned the side of the box that takes the agenda even further.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Political commentator and podcast host Dave Rubin drew attention to that element Monday afternoon by posting a<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RubinReport\/status\/1396865085222506498?s=20\"> <span>photo<\/span><\/a><span> of a side panel on Twitter. The panel sports a list of pronouns, including \u201cthey\/them.\u201d After the list, it invites kids to \u201cadd your own\u201d on two additional lines.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"6.8888888888889\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Friend sent this to me. I had know idea that Tony the Tiger and the Toucan Sam were dating\u2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/FMNS8FBoui\">pic.twitter.com\/FMNS8FBoui<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Dave Rubin (@RubinReport) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RubinReport\/status\/1396865085222506498?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 24, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>Kellogg\u2019s push to market transgender pronouns to kids follows on the heels of other companies releasing LGBTQ-themed children\u2019s products in time for June, when gay activists celebrate Pride month. Last week, Lego <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/nbc-out\/out-news\/lego-announces-1st-rainbow-set-ahead-lgbtq-pride-month-rcna991\"><span>unveiled<\/span><\/a><span> a rainbow-hued building set, saying the colors are meant to symbolize the rainbow LGBTQ flag (though, of course, for Christians and Jews, the rainbow has for millennia symbolized God\u2019s promise to never again flood the world). The set\u2019s name \u2014 \u201cEveryone is Awesome\u201d \u2014 is a play on the theme song from the animated \u201cLego\u201d movie that was a massive hit with young audiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Much like Pride-themed toys, Melissa, a homemaker and mom of two, ages nine and three, believes everything about Kellogg\u2019s new cereal is designed to target minors. Upon seeing Rubin\u2019s post, she<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BiblicalBeauty\/status\/1396870617220194305?s=20\"> <span>tweeted<\/span><\/a><span>, \u201cThey want our kids. Over this momma\u2019s dead body.
