The program was led by the diversity, equity, and inclusion firm \u201cWhite Men As Full Diversity Partners.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Lockheed Martin began hosting \u201cEffective Leadership of Inclusive Teams\u201d training, or \u201cELOIT\u201d training, in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/realchrisrufo\/status\/1397702394671030272\"><span>2007<\/span><\/a><span>. According to the company\u2019s 2018 Global Diversity and Inclusion report, ELOIT training \u201cempowers white men to be full partners in the creation of inclusive work climates by exploring the systemic advantages of white men have and shining a light on some of the barriers women, minorities, and LGBTs face when fitting into a predominately white male society.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>ELOIT training is broken into three parts. The first part takes place over a three-and-a-half-day period called the \u201cWhite Men\u2019s Caucus.\u201d White men learn how to \u201cbe grounded in their culture and to begin to understand their experiences are not the same as others.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The second part takes place over three and half days in a portion called \u201cWhite Men &amp; Allies.\u201d This section helps white men and their allies \u2014 including white women and people of color \u2014 to develop \u201cpartnerships across diversity boundaries.\u201d Part three is a day and a half summit that helps white men \u201cbuild awareness of U.S. white male cultures, its impact on Lockheed Martin and the role of white men in creating an inclusive organization; and help them take specific action.\u201d <\/span><span><br \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Diversity training begins with a \u201cfree association\u201d exercise led by \u201cWhite Men As Full Diversity Partners\u201d trainers. Employees were asked to list words they associate with the term \u201cwhite men.\u201d Trainers wrote, \u201cold, racist, privileged, anti-women, angry, Aryan Nation, KKK, Founding fathers, guns, and guilty,\u201d among others.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>One part of the presentation asked, \u201cWhat\u2019s in it for white men?\u201d Responses included, \u201cI won\u2019t get replaced by someone who is a better full diversity partner,\u201d \u201c[I will] improve the brand, image, and reputation of white men,\u201d and \u201chave [a] less nagging sense of guilt that I am the problem.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Consultants defined the problematic aspects of \u201cwhite male culture\u201d as \u201crugged individualism,\u201d \u201ca can-do attitude,\u201d \u201chard work,\u201d and \u201cstriving toward success.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Participants were also asked to repeat 50 \u201cwhite privilege statements.\u201d Examples included, \u201cMy culture teaches me to minimize the perspectives and powers of people of other races\u201d and \u201cI can commit acts of terrorism, violence or crime and not have it attributed to my race.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Employees were asked to recite an additional 59 \u201cmale privilege statements\u201d and 59 \u201cheterosexual privilege statements.\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>White males were also asked to read \u201cI\u2019m tired\u201d statements that were allegedly written by racial minorities and women. Examples included \u201cI\u2019m tired of being Black,\u201d \u201cI\u2019m tired of Black boys\/girls being murdered,\u201d and \u201cI\u2019m tired of \u2026 the concept that we should be \u2018colorblind.\u2019\u201d&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>City Journals\u2019 Christopher Rufo insisted that the U.S. Senate launch an investigation into the \u201cracist practices\u201d at Lockheed Martin as the company receives billions in taxpayer dollars.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThis is pure neo-racism from a company that receives billions of taxpayer dollars every year,\u201d Rufo said. \u201cI call on the United States Senate to launch an immediate inquiry into the racist practices at Lockheed Martin. We must shut this down before it endangers our national security.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In response to Rufo\u2019s report, a spokesman for Lockheed Martin said that the company consistently evaluates the effectiveness of its training programs.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cLockheed Martin has robust employee training programs focused on our core values of doing what is right, respecting others, and performing with excellence,\u201d spokesman Trent Perrotto said. \u201cLike many corporations, we employ multiple vendors and continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs to ensure they are aligned with our values, applicable laws and regulations, and incorporate employee feedback and best practices.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
