And, you know what? I\u2019ve got pretty big shoulders, unfortunately \u2026 and I can take it. People have come after me all my life, you know? And I kind of just move on and do my own thing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cBut I did speak with all my children. I said, \u2018Hey, I do not want one tweet \u2026 This is my deal.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">An anchor clarified, \u201cYou told them not to be involved?\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jenner, 71, told the family \u201cnot to be involved whatsoever. I said, \u2018If anybody asks any questions, you know, in the media\u2019 \u2014 cause they obviously are in the media \u2014 I said \u2018just say no comment,\u2019 you know? Address your comments to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\" readability=\"13.67032967033\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">.<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Caitlyn_Jenner?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Caitlyn_Jenner<\/a> says she asked her children not to be involved with her campaign for governor of California.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018Hey, I do not want one tweet\u2019\u2026 this is my deal\u2026 I said if anybody asks any questions in the media\u2026 just say \u2018No comment, address your comments to me.&#8217;\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/X67gNmG8b3\">pic.twitter.com\/X67gNmG8b3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 CBS This Morning (@CBSThisMorning) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CBSThisMorning\/status\/1397525321558204420?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 26, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">Last month, a source <a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/tv\/kardashian-jenners-have-differing-political-opinions-but-want-caitlyn-to-be-happy-amid-california-governor-run\/\"><span class=\"s1\">told<\/span><\/a> People Magazine that the famous cohort wants Jenner \u201chappy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThere have always been differing political opinions within the family,\u201d the insider said. \u201cBut everyone can agree on one thing: They want Caitlyn to be happy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jenner has entered the California gubernatorial race as a Republican candidate, but has received criticism from members of the two political parties for seeming to side with both at varying times.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/caitlyn-jenner-comes-out-in-support-of-path-to-citizenship-for-californias-illegal-aliens\"><span class=\"s1\">reported<\/span><\/a>, Jenner stated support for creating a pathway to citizenship for the roughly two million illegal aliens in California. The transgender activist announced the position&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/05\/09\/politics\/caitlyn-jenner-immigration-cnntv\/index.html\"><span class=\"s1\">during an interview<\/span><\/a>&nbsp;with CNN\u2019s Dana Bash.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The former athlete has also come out against biological boys competing in female sports. Jenner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/2021\/05\/01\/caitlyn-jenner-trans-girls-ban-sports-biological-boys\/\"><span class=\"s1\">told<\/span><\/a> TMZ, \u201cThis is a question of fairness. That\u2019s why I oppose biological boys who are trans competing in girls\u2019 sports in school. It just isn\u2019t fair.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Jenner also recently claimed not to have voted in the 2020 election, allegedly choosing to play golf instead. Los Angeles County records, however, demonstrate conflicting details, according to a recent report.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">As The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/caitlyn-jenner-says-no-votes-cast-in-2020-l-a-county-records-say-jenner-did-vote\"><span class=\"s1\">reported<\/span><\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"32.336842105263\">\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>\u201cPOLITICO reported last month that Jenner did not vote in nearly two-thirds of the elections in which she was eligible since 2000. After Jenner\u2019s latest comments to CNN aired Tuesday morning, a representative of the registrar\u2019s office reconfirmed to POLITICO that Jenner voted \u2014 with&nbsp;<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=00000179-5e2b-d7df-a37d-ff6bd5e50000\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>documentation<\/i><\/span><\/a><i>,\u201d the Washington, D.C.-based political website&nbsp;<\/i><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/states\/california\/story\/2021\/05\/11\/jenner-says-she-didnt-vote-in-2020-but-records-show-she-did-1381459\"><span class=\"s1\"><i>reported<\/i><\/span><\/a><i>.<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Jenner appeared on CNN and was asked by host Dana Bash about voting in last year\u2019s election.<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>\u201cI didn\u2019t even vote,\u201d Jenner said. \u201cOut here in California, it\u2019s like, why vote for a Republican president? It\u2019s just not going to work. I mean, it\u2019s overwhelming.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>\u201cIt was voting day, and I thought, the only thing out here in California that I worry about, which affects people, is the propositions that were out there,\u201d Jenner said. \u201cAnd I didn\u2019t see any propositions that I really had one side or the other. And so it was Election Day, and I just couldn\u2019t get excited about it. And I just wound up going to play golf and I said, eh, I\u2019m not doing that.\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"p1\">When Jenner <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/im-in-caitlyn-jenner-announces-republican-run-for-ca-governor\">announced<\/a> a run for governor of California, the transgender activist criticized Democratic policies.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cCalifornia has been my home for nearly 50 years,\u201d Jenner said in a statement. \u201cI came here because I knew that anyone, regardless of their background or station in life, could turn their dreams into a reality.
