Through a reverse image search, Check Your Fact found the photo actually was taken in January 2008 in Stavropol, Russia, and shows new Kalashnikov machine guns being blessed by a Russian Orthodox priest, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.co.uk\/detail\/news-photo\/russian-orthodox-priest-blesses-new-kalashnikov-machine-news-photo\/127556409?adppopup=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Getty Images<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA Russian Orthodox priest blesses new Kalashnikov machine guns during a ceremony presenting the new weapons to recently enlisted members of Russia\u2019s elite \u2018OMON\u2019 riot police corps in Stavropol,\u201d the Getty Images <a href=\"https:\/\/www.gettyimages.co.uk\/detail\/news-photo\/russian-orthodox-priest-blesses-new-kalashnikov-machine-news-photo\/127556409?adppopup=true\">caption<\/a> reads.<\/p>\n<p>An <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=OMON+Israeli+Palestinian&amp;ei=eUSuYPeyJaOj5NoPm_u1mA4&amp;oq=OMON+Israeli+Palestinian&amp;gs_lcp=Cgdnd3Mtd2l6EANQ0wtY0wtg4w9oAXAAeACAATuIAW-SAQEymAEAoAEBqgEHZ3dzLXdpesABAQ&amp;sclient=gws-wiz&amp;ved=0ahUKEwi30-LisefwAhWjEVkFHZt9DeMQ4dUDCA8&amp;uact=5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">internet search<\/a> by Check Your Fact didn\u2019t turn up any credible news reports of Russian OMON units being deployed to assist Israeli or Palestinian forces during the recent conflict.
