Wade is overturned to the pro-life governor\u2019s desk for signing.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/legiscan.com\/TX\/text\/HB1280\/id\/2402603\">Human Life Protection Act of 2021<\/a> is a trigger bill that would ban abortion if the United States Supreme Court overturns the landmark decision Roe v. Wade. The court <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/05\/17\/supreme-court-abortion-case-mississippi-roe-wade-dobbs-jackson-womens-health\/\">announced<\/a> in mid May that it had agreed to take up a major Mississippi abortion case that could directly challenge Roe v. Wade, sparking hope in pro-life advocates and fear among abortion proponents.<\/p>\n<p>Under the Texas trigger bill, which the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dallasnews.com\/news\/politics\/2021\/05\/25\/texas-senate-poised-to-pass-trigger-ban-prohibiting-abortion-if-roe-v-wade-is-overturned\/?utm_source=Newsletter&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_content=Cruz+criticizes+military+ad%2C+what+Mavs+may+do+in+tonight+s+Game+2%3A+Your+Tuesday+evening+roundup&amp;utm_campaign=EveningRoundup_05252021&amp;vgo_ee=itAK9nzF5jhDr4kqMC5rxXwFoqDlMHNmyq65fGLdufk%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Senate voted to send<\/a> to Republican Gov. Wade ruling since the Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether abortion bans prior to fetal viability are constitutional,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/05\/17\/supreme-court-abortion-case-roe-challenge-488983\">Politico reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"\/10519169\/dailycaller_inline3\" class=\"ad\" data-google-query-id=\"CMjt3OOQ6PACFdNXDQodV0UPrA\" readability=\"23.878172588832\">\n<p>The Supreme Court will hear one out of the three questions presented by Mississippi, the pro-life group Americans United for Life <a href=\"https:\/\/aul.org\/2021\/05\/17\/a-generational-opportunity-to-uphold-life-saving-protections-as-us-supreme-court-considers-mississippi-abortion-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> in a press release last week: \u201cWhether all pre-viability prohibitions on elective abortions are unconstitutional.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This signals that the Court is focused on the constitutionality of legal limits on late-term abortions, AUL said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat the Supreme Court is considering this Mississippi law is a promising signal that perhaps a majority of Justices wish to give states greater power to regulate abortion,\u201d Steven H.
