While President Joe Biden\u2019s infrastructure and families plans are popular among Americans, they become less popular when people are told how they will be paid for, organizers said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe record tax hikes that Democrats are seeking to ram through could not come at a worse time for America\u2019s job creators who are just beginning to recover from a crippling pandemic,\u201d National Association of Wholesaler-Distributors (NAW) President and CEO Eric Hoplin told CNBC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEmployers support a smart infrastructure to ensure America\u2019s 21st century competitiveness, but it shouldn\u2019t be used as a trojan horse to enact record high taxes on America\u2019s individually and family-owned businesses,\u201d he continued. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/01\/business-groups-joe-biden-dangerous-misguided-infrastructure-package\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Business Groups Denounce Biden\u2019s \u2018Dangerously Misguided\u2019 Infrastructure Plan)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>NAW is leading the coalition, which includes groups like the International Franchise Association, the Main Street Employers Coalition (MSE), the National Grocers Association, the American Hotel and Lodging Association and the Associated Builders and Contractors, CNBC reported.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7199371\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\" readability=\"33\"><img decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7199371\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7199371\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/GettyImages-1233006299-scaled-1.jpg\" alt=\"Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi arrives to an event at the Capitol on May 20. (Jabin Botsford\/Pool\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The group has yet to formally announce the details of their campaign, but said it is actively researching how it can produce an effective counter-messaging effort against Democrats\u2019 proposals, according to CNBC. The effort will mainly target states like Arizona, which have moderate Democrats in office.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pandemic has taxed individually and family owned businesses enough \u2014 taxing them again while they are still struggling to recover just goes too far,\u201d MSE Executive Director Chris Smith told CNBC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese tax hikes would put the path of the recovery at such risk, so we need to make sure the voice of Main Street is heard loud and clear with the people and places that matter most,\u201d Smith added.<\/p>\n<p>Business groups have previously <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/01\/business-groups-joe-biden-dangerous-misguided-infrastructure-package\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">rallied against<\/a> the Biden administration over its proposed <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/31\/joe-biden-infrastructure-plan-trump-tax-corporate-cuts\/\">corporate tax<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/04\/22\/joe-biden-capital-gains-tax-hike\/\">capital gains tax<\/a> increases. Others have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/22\/new-york-city-job-creators-network-national-federation-of-independent-business-joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">criticized<\/a> the president for a plan that would increase small business taxes.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/speeches-remarks\/2021\/05\/03\/remarks-by-president-biden-on-the-american-families-plan\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">repeatedly vowed<\/a> that he won\u2019t increase taxes on Americans who earn less than $400,000 per year.
