It appears to show a truck carrying weapons in a neighborhood in northern Israel, not the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Conflict broke out between Israel and the Palestinian militant group Hamas starting May 10, leaving over 250 dead before a ceasefire went into effect early May 21, the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/africa-middle-east-israel-palestinian-conflict-health-coronavirus-pandemic-41d515a273b54187d429887a3ae9d9e8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Associated Press<\/a> reported. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/05\/19\/fact-check-video-palestinian-militants-staging-funeral\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does This Video Show Palestinian Militants Staging A Funeral?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Amid the conflict, social media users shared a video of a truck carrying what appear to be missiles, with one such Facebook user <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/suraj.pearl\/videos\/3953560964712829\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">alleging<\/a> the video shows \u201cHamas missiles being parked\u201d on a residential street in Gaza. That is, however, not the case.<\/p>\n<p>Through a reverse image search of key frames, Check Your Fact found the video <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MivzakLive\/posts\/2020853144641924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">published on Facebook<\/a>&nbsp;in November 2018, years before the current conflict broke out. Both videos feature the same \u201camar\u201d watermark. The translated caption of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MivzakLive\/posts\/2020853144641924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2018 version<\/a> indicates the footage was taken in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/32%C2%B057&#039;45.8%22N+35%C2%B010&#039;51.5%22E\/@32.9627222,35.1787835,17z\/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d32.962718!4d35.180978\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Abu Snan<\/a>, a town in northern Israel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrucks with \u2018missiles\u2019 were wrong on their way and entered the village of Abu Sanan in the north,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/MivzakLive\/posts\/2020853144641924\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">translated caption<\/a> reads.<\/p>\n<p>The northern Israeli town of Abu Snan does not border Gaza, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/maps\/place\/Abu+Snan,+Israel\/@31.3077029,33.5706962,7.73z\/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x151dcc8abe8bdfd1:0xf17ae22c19cdbf42!8m2!3d32.95803!4d35.171969\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Maps<\/a>. Check Your Fact could not independently verify whether the truck is the same as the one in the Facebook video.<\/p>\n<p>Misleading claims related to this month\u2019s Israel-Hamas conflict have circulated widely on social media platforms, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/05\/14\/technology\/israel-palestine-misinformation-lies-social-media.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The New York Times<\/a>.
