The class, which involved a slideshow and a lecture by an instructor, featured raunchy images and presentations on porn genres and OnlyFans, a subscription website used largely for pornography. <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/05\/22\/columbia-prep-students-parents-reel-from-porn-literacy-class\/\">The New York Post<\/a> detailed the workshop:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"27\">\n<p><em>The often-explicit slide presentation and lecture by Fonte to the 120 boys and girls included lessons on how porn takes care of \u201cthree big male vulnerabilities\u201d; statistics on the \u201corgasm gap\u201d showing straight women have far fewer orgasms with their partners than gay men or women; and photos of partially-nude women, some in bondage, to analyze \u201cwhat is porn and what is art.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Fonte\u2019s presentation, some of which was seen by The Post, included a list of the most searched pornographic terms of 2019, including \u201ccreampie,\u201d \u201canal,\u201d \u201cgangbang,\u201d \u201cstepmom\u201d and more.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>One slide cited various porn genres such as \u201cincest-themed,\u201d consensual or \u201cvanilla,\u201d \u201cbarely legal,\u201d and \u201ckink and BDSM\u201d (which included \u201cwaterboard electro\u201d torture porn as an example).<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The workshop was designed and taught by Justine Ang Fonte, the health director of Dalton, another top prep school. Tuition at Columbia costs $47,000 per year.<\/p>\n<p>Juniors at Columbia were forced to watch the presentation online at home for those on Zoom and in the school\u2019s gymnasium for those attending school in-person at the time. Parents found out about the course because of students being forced to watch it over Zoom.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s outrageous that the school is introducing pornography into a mainstream classroom and starting to indoctrinate kids. The goal of this is to disrupt families,\u201d one parent of a student at Columbia Prep told the Post. \u201cWhy is the school making porn a priority as opposed to physics, art, literature or poetry?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Another said that parents are afraid to speak out against subjects being taught at the school for fear of being \u201ccancelled.\u201d \u201cMost parents feel the same way I do about not going public but at the same time we\u2019re incredibly frustrated by what\u2019s going on. None of the parents knew this was planned. We were completely left in the dark. It makes us wonder what else the school is up to,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for the school at first denied that the students were ever exposed to such raunchy content. Columbia head William Donohue later reversed himself and apologized for hosting the class after the Post\u2019s story on it ran Saturday night.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201ccontent and tone of the presentation did not represent our philosophy, which is to educate our students in ways that promote their personal development and overall health, as well as to express respect for them as individuals,\u201d Donohue said in an email to parents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was unfortunate that we did not better inform ourselves of the speaker\u2019s specific content in advance,\u201d he continued. \u201cIn this case, the speaker did not align with our unique CGPS mission and for this, I apologize.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Pornographic content was introduced into the curriculum of a Texas school, as well, earlier this year. Parents of students in the &nbsp;Leander Independent School District in Austin complained about explicit content being taught to teens, but their complaints in some cases were met with derision and mocking. As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/graphic-sexual-content-assigned-to-texas-students-dissenting-parents-harassed-with-anti-christiandks\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"19\">\n<p><em>According to one parent who spoke to The Daily Wire on condition of anonymity, their concerns were not received with tolerance by some involved in the process. Proponents of the pornographic content, allegedly including both teachers and parents, lashed out at the concerned parents, calling them \u201creligious zealots, bigots\u201d and \u201cracists.\u201d The harassment did not end at name-calling.
