As The Daily Wire&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/siriusxm-pandora-cmt-iheartradio-pull-morgan-wallen-music-following-n-word-video-recorded-by-neighbor\">reported<\/a>&nbsp;in February, SiriusXM, Pandora, CMT, iHeartRadio, and many others pulled Morgan Wallen\u2019s music after the video surfaced.<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"17.750865051903\">\n<p><em>Wallen\u2019s music was first pulled by&nbsp;Cumulus Media. The country music heavyweight sent a directive to all of its 400-plus stations to remove Wallen\u2019s songs from their playlists \u201ceffective immediately,\u201d Variety&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/variety.com\/2021\/music\/news\/morgan-wallen-country-radio-removed-racial-slur-1234899010\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>iHeartRadio, Entercom, cable network CMT, satellite service SiriusXM, and streaming service Pandora have all also removed the 27-year-old\u2019s songs. Variety noted that Wallen\u2019s music is not currently appearing on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, too. Nashville-based label Big Loud has suspended their contract with Wallen \u201cindefinitely.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Wallen was also disqualified from playing at the Country Music Awards.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m embarrassed and sorry,\u201d Wallen said. \u201cI used an unacceptable and inappropriate racial slur that I wish I could take back. There are no excuses to use this type of language, ever. I want to sincerely apologize for using the word. I promise to do better.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite the total de-platforming of his career, Wallen\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/morgan-wallens-record-sales-skyrocket-amid-racial-slur-controversy\">music sales continued to soar<\/a> with his latest album, \u201cDangerous: The Double Album,\u201d spending <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/articles\/news\/9543993\/morgan-wallen-dangerous-tops-billboard-200-10-weeks\/\">10 weeks<\/a>&nbsp;at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. In April, after two months of silence, the musician released a video in which he shared a hand-written note that he posted on social media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have felt a lot of love lately from so many people I haven\u2019t gotten to know yet,\u201d Wallen said in the note. \u201cI know my corner hasn\u2019t been the most popular one to stand in recently, but many of you did anyway.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>After reflecting on his many trials and tribulations throughout 2020 and 2021, Wallen said he has been seeking to make amends.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to let you guys know that I\u2019ve taken a couple months away and feel like I\u2019ve really worked on myself. I\u2019m proud of the work I\u2019ve put in and in many ways thankful to have had the time to do it.
