Rittenhouse, 18, made his first in-person court appearance on Friday during which both sides agreed to have a juror questionnaire ready by Aug. 1. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, his previous legal proceedings have been held virtually.<\/p>\n<p>The Illinois teen is accused of fatally shooting two people in Kenosha, Wisconsin while defending businesses during BLM protests last summer. (Adam Rogan\/The Journal Times via AP, File)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Meanwhile, Rittenhouse is charged with first-degree reckless homicide, first-degree intentional homicide and first-degree recklessly endangering safety in the fatal shootings of Joseph Rosenbaum, 36, and Anthony Huber, 26, during the August protest in Kenosha. Sheriff\u2019s officials have reported that security will be tight around all proceedings related to the case.<\/p>\n<p>Rittenhouse is currently free on bail and living at an undisclosed location due to death threats.
