Andrew Cuomo\u2019s administration granted special access to COVID-19 testing for his family and other \u201cspecials\u201d as recently as April, according to a report by The New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>Federal prosecutors that have been investigating Cuomo\u2019s undercounting of nursing home deaths caused by COVID-19 since February are now looking into Cuomo\u2019s priority testing program, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/05\/19\/nyregion\/cuomo-covid-test-investigation.html\">the Times<\/a> reported Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Cuomo\u2019s daughter, Mariah Kennedy Cuomo, and her boyfriend were tested for COVID-19 on April 3, the outlet reported. (Spencer Platt\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The governor\u2019s brother, CNN host <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/24\/it-is-not-surprising-cnn-defends-chris-cuomo-receiving-preferential-covid-19-testing-andrew-cuomo\/\">Chris Cuomo<\/a>, was one of the individuals that received priority testing during the early days of the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHowever, it is not surprising that in the earliest days of the once-in-a-century global pandemic, when Chris was showing symptoms and was concerned about the possible spread, he turned to anyone he could for advice and assistance, as any human being would,\u201d CNN spokesman Matt Dornic said in defense of Chris Cuomo\u2019s coronavirus testing.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to an <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/02\/18\/andrew-cuomo-fbi-nursing-homes\/?filter_by=review_high&amp;page=6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ongoing<\/a> investigation by the FBI and a U.S. attorney in New York, Cuomo faces an investigation by New York Attorney General Letitia James over his alleged use of state resources to write a book he published in 2020 on leadership lessons he learned during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>Cuomo\u2019s top aide Melissa DeRosa reportedly attended meetings with prospective publishers and helped edit early drafts of the book around July 2020, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2021\/03\/31\/nyregion\/cuomo-book-nursing-homes.html\">The Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time, DeRosa and two other Cuomo advisors reportedly pressured the New York State Department of Health to alter a report published in early July to conceal the true number of nursing home COVID-19 deaths.<\/p>\n<p>James is also <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/15\/andrew-cuomo-bennett-sexual-harassment-interview-hands\/\">investigating<\/a> accusations of sexual harassment against Cuomo from former staffers.<\/p>\n<p>Content created by The Daily Caller News Foundation is available without charge to any eligible news publisher that can provide a large audience.
