The college had challenged Biden over his Jan. 20 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/20\/executive-order-preventing-and-combating-discrimination-on-basis-of-gender-identity-or-sexual-orientation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">executive order<\/a>, which prevented schools from <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2019\/10\/20\/transgender-cyclist-rachel-mckinnon-world-championship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">denying children<\/a> access to bathrooms of their choosing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWomen shouldn\u2019t be forced to share private spaces, including showers and dorm rooms with males, and religious schools shouldn\u2019t be punished simply because of their beliefs about biological sex,\u201d Julie Marie Blake, senior counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), told reporters following the ruling Wednesday evening.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Biden administration\u2019s overreach continues to victimize women, girls and people of faith by gutting their legal protections, and it must be stopped,\u201d she continued. <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/21\/feminists-transgender-biden-executive-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>(RELATED: #BidenErasedWomen Trends After Biden Executive Order Sets The Stage For Rolling Out Trans Protections)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The College of the Ozarks <a href=\"https:\/\/adflegal.org\/sites\/default\/files\/2021-04\/The%20School%20of%20the%20Ozarks%20dba%20College%20of%20the%20Ozarks%20v.%20Biden%20-%20Complaint.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">filed<\/a> the lawsuit against Biden and the Department of Housing and Urban Development in April, two months after Biden signed the order. (Drew Angerer\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The college faces six-figure fines if it violates the Biden administration\u2019s order.<\/p>\n<p>School administrators said they expected to appeal Ketchmark\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile we are disappointed in today\u2019s ruling, we expect to appeal so that schools are not forced to open girls dorms to males and violate their religious beliefs,\u201d College of the Ozarks Chief Communications Officer Valerie Coleman said during the Wednesday press briefing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to fight,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/10\/16\/trans-lives-matter-joe-biden-transgender-athletes-equality-act-girls-sports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Biden\u2019s executive order<\/a>, which was among his first actions as president, was <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/21\/feminists-transgender-biden-executive-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">criticized<\/a> by many who argued it would hurt women. They <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/gender\/commentary\/bidens-executive-order-gender-discrimination-has-muddied-waters-title-ix\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">argued<\/a> that the order chips away at Title IX protections that women and girls have enjoyed for 50 years.<\/p>\n<p>However, supporters of the order <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aclu.org\/press-releases\/aclu-applauds-biden-administration-order-lgbtq-workplace-protections\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">applauded<\/a> it as a win for LGBTQ Americans.
