I wish, as a kid, I had looked at the world and thought: \u2018This is going to be OK, there\u2019s a place for me.\u2019 I wish I\u2019d seen an inclusive statement that said \u2018everyone is awesome.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wanted to create a model that symbolizes inclusivity and celebrates everyone, no matter how they identify or who they love,\u201d he continued. \u201cEveryone is unique, and with a little more love, acceptance and understanding in the world, we can all feel more free to be our true AWESOME selves! This model shows that we care, and that we truly believe \u2018Everyone is awesome!\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Flynn DeMarco, a contestant on the television show Lego Masters US, echoed, \u201cPeople look to a company such as Lego \u2013 a company they love and enjoy \u2013 and think, \u2018Hey if it\u2019s OK for Lego, maybe it\u2019s OK for me, too.\u2019 For Lego to do something so inclusive, so full of joy \u2013 it made me smile, then cry, then smile a little more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In March 2015, after a science journalist created a custom Lego set to honor female justices of the U.S. Supreme Court and submitted the set to Lego Ideas, she was informed the project was not accepted. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/sections\/itsallpolitics\/2015\/03\/13\/392871323\/lego-says-you-can-t-build-that\">NPR<\/a> wrote, \u201cLego does not accept projects relating to \u2018politics and political symbols, campaigns, or movements,\u2019 the policy said \u2014 though it has created a Lego White House and Lincoln Memorial as part of its \u2018Architecture\u2019 line.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Lego writes on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lego.com\/en-us\/themes\/duplo\/about-learning-through\">website<\/a>, \u201cWe firmly believe in the transformative value of learning through play,\u201d and quotes Dr. Elizabeth Byrne of the PEDAL Research Centre, University of Cambridge, stating, \u201cThe experiences we have as children have impacted who we are today as adults.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
