CyFIR, one of the auditing firms, simply didn\u2019t know where to look to find the database, which remains available.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have the information I need from the recovery efforts of the data,\u201d CyFIR founder Ben Cotton said during a hearing on Tuesday, the AP reported.<\/p>\n<p>The hearing was held to address Cotton\u2019s prior claims that the Maricopa County election database had been deleted. Republican state Senate President Karen Fann <a href=\"https:\/\/www.azsenaterepublicans.com\/post\/update-on-election-audit-in-maricopa-county\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">held the hearing<\/a> and has spearheaded the effort to audit the county\u2019s 2.1 million ballots cast in November.<\/p>\n<p>Maricopa County\u2019s Board of Supervisors, which is majority Republican, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maricopa.gov\/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2298\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">refused<\/a> to attend the hearing and called on Fann to immediately end the ongoing audit. (Courtney Pedroza\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Board of Supervisors sent a lengthy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maricopa.gov\/DocumentCenter\/View\/68972\/20210517-Response-Letter-to-Senate-President-Fann---FINAL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">letter<\/a> to Fann, detailing why the auditing firms\u2019 claims were false and proving that the database was never deleted. The county\u2019s election department\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.maricopa.gov\/DocumentCenter\/View\/68971\/Final-Technical-Response-Letter-with-Exhibits-5172021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">published<\/a> a technical report showing that the election had been secure.<\/p>\n<p>The board had previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maricopa.gov\/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2016\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ordered<\/a> two extensive audits of the election in February, which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.maricopa.gov\/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2106\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">failed<\/a> to find evidence of voter fraud.<\/p>\n<p>Former President Donald Trump, who continues to tout unsubstantiated claims that last year\u2019s presidential election was stolen, repeated the allegation that officials deleted the county\u2019s election database last week. There <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/12\/31\/signature-audit-georgias-cobb-county-no-evidence-voter-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">has been<\/a> no <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/04\/fox-and-friends-brian-kilmeade-steve-doocy-donald-trump-voter-fraud-claims-raffensperger-phone-call-leak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">evidence<\/a> of widespread voter fraud.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe entire Database of Maricopa County in Arizona has been DELETED!
