In recent months, requests for declassifying information regarding UFO\u2019s have grown increasingly louder.<\/p>\n<p>This comes as research from former top Department of Defense officials including, Luis Elizondo and Christopher Mellon, is finally coming to light. Elizondo ran the Pentagon\u2019s Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program for nine years until resigning in 2017 over the department\u2019s lack of enthusiasm for probing UFO\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>However, he did manage to strongarm officials into releasing videos that uncovered Navy pilots encountering flying objects taking on the shapes of Tic Tacs, which resembled cubes within spheres and triangles.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.christophermellon.net\/\">Mellon<\/a>, who served as the Assistant Deputy Secretary of Defense for Intelligence during the Clinton and George W. Bush administrations, helped get the footage to the public by leaking the video to the press back in 2017.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Great chat. Marco Rubio, who is now leading the charge on Capitol Hill in order to obtain a detailed assessment of what we know about UFO\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>In December, Rubio while still chairing the Senate Intelligence Committee, called on the Pentagon and Director of National Intelligence to release a declassified report on the subject. He was also successful in convincing President Donald Trump to agree to a provision, ordering the release of the report in the $2.3 trillion appropriations bill for 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Rubio aims to shake off the stigma surrounding UFO\u2019s and extraterrestrial life forms and hopes it will start being treated as a serious threat to national security.
