It is not related to the current conflict between Israel and Hamas.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Israel and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/world-middle-east-13331522\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hamas<\/a>, the militant group that controls the Gaza Strip, have been recently engaged in an intense conflict, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2021\/05\/17\/israel-gaza-conflict-latest-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Washington Post<\/a>. Both sides have conducted multiple aerial attacks, resulting in about 10 deaths in Israel and over 200 Palestinian deaths in Gaza and the West Bank as of Monday, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/world\/2021\/05\/17\/israel-gaza-conflict-latest-update\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">outlet<\/a> reported. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/05\/14\/fact-check-benjamin-netanyahu-speech-knesset-thanking-hamas-israel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Did Benjamin Netanyahu Give A Speech Before The Knesset Thanking Hamas For Uniting Israel?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The claim that the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=313728260358740&#038;id=100051647060578https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/permalink.php?story_fbid=313728260358740&#038;id=100051647060578\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">image<\/a> shows two brothers from Gaza who survived a bombing amid the current Israel-Hamas conflict has circulated widely in recent days. The caption of one Facebook post reads, \u201cTwo brothers from #Gaza \u2026 each thought the other was killed by the bombing \u2026 until \u2026 that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Through a reverse image search, Check Fact found the two pictures in the Facebook image do not show what the caption alleges. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/video\/national\/fate-of-syrian-boys-captured-on-video-mourning-loss-of-brother-unknown\/2016\/08\/27\/c9fc3890-6c71-11e6-91cb-ecb5418830e9_video.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Washington Post<\/a> reported on Aug. 27 that year that the fate of the two brothers seen in the video was unknown after an airstrike hit the funeral of the boys\u2019 brother.<\/p>\n<p>Social media users have previously shared old photos and videos alongside claims that they\u2019re related to the current Israel-Hamas conflict.
