Marjorie Taylor Greene confront Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez outside of the House Chambers on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe one thing about covering Capitol Hill is you never know what you\u2019re going to see based on where you are,\u201d Washington Post reporter Marianna Sotomayor explained on CNN\u2019s \u201cNew Day\u201d with Co-Host John Berman. \u201cI was with my colleague Jackie Alemany and we were just waiting for leadership to emerge from the House floor.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis was when the House was wrapping up votes for the day. We saw Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez walk off the floor and just seconds after her, Marjorie Taylor Greene start to call out her name,\u201d Sotomayor described.<\/p>\n<p>Sotomayor said Ocasio-Cortez didn\u2019t stop and Greene continued \u201cpeppering her with questions\u201d and yelling at her. The reporter said Greene wanted Ocasio-Cortez to defend the policies she supports, such as the Green New Deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike you mentioned, Greene really wants to debate Ocasio-Cortez specifically on that policy. But, she took it a step further as well, really questioning Ocasio-Cortez about why she supports terrorist groups like Antifa and Black Lives Matter.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe continued to pepper her with these questions until Ocasio-Cortez turned around and threw her hands up in the air in this kind of exasperated confused face,\u201d Sotomayor said, explaining that they couldn\u2019t hear the response from Ocasio-Cortez due to \u201chow far away she was.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2020\/09\/01\/marjorie-taylor-greene-falsely-accused-congresswomen-sharia-law-video-falsities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Marjorie Taylor Greene Falsely Accused 2 Congresswomen Of Supporting Sharia Law In Video Filled With Falsities)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sotomayor continued on to say that Greene explained to her, her coworker and another reporter that she intended \u201cto hold members of Congress accountable,\u201d whether they were Democrats or Republicans.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe called Ocasio-Cortez, as well as other Democrats cowards for not being able to stand up to their legislation and their policy proposals,\u201d Sotomayor explained.<\/p>\n<p>Greene\u2019s confrontation with Ocasio-Cortez has been described as being similar to the way she confronted Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg in January, in which she <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/27\/marjorie-taylor-greene-harassed-parkland-survivor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">accused<\/a> him of being paid to promote an anti-gun agenda, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/greene-ocasio-cortez\/2021\/05\/12\/fd61d664-b37e-11eb-a3b5-f994536fe84a_story.html?utm_campaign=wp_main&#038;utm_medium=social&#038;utm_source=twitter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Washington Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, Greene was in a <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/01\/29\/cori-bush-offices-marjorie-taylor-greene\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">confrontation<\/a> in January with Democratic Missouri Rep. Cori Bush after Bush asked Greene to wear a mask.
