You cannot tell me what is or is not racist. Look at me. I had to come down here today to tell you to your face that we are coming together and we are strong.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The woman began by quoting Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. \u201cIn the words of Martin Luther King Jr., \u2018I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character,\u2019\u201d she said. \u201cNow I have a dream that we will implement love, not hate, or supporting another Jim Crow\u2019s agenda. CRT is not a \u2018nice dialogue,\u2019 it was a tactic that was used by Hitler and the Ku Klux Klan on slaveries many years ago to dumb down my ancestors so we could not think for ourselves. CRT is racist; it is abusive; it discriminates against one\u2019s color.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shaking her finger, she snapped, \u201cLet me educate you: An honest dialogue does not oppress. An honest dialogue does not implement hatred and injustice; it\u2019s to communicate without deceiving people. Today we don\u2019t need your agreement. We want action and a backbone for what we ask for today: to ban CRT.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t want your political advertisement to divide our children or belittle them. Think twice before you indoctrinate such racist theories. You cannot tell me what is or is not racist. Look at me. I had to come down here today to tell you to your face that we are coming together and we are strong. This will not be the last greet-and-meet. Respectfully.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/youtube.com\/watch?v=UvCLubdeeRM\">https:\/\/youtube.com\/watch?v=UvCLubdeeRM<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/loudoun-teachers-target-parents-critical-race-theory-hacking\">The Daily Wire<\/a> reported on March 16:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"20\">\n<p><em>A group of current and former teachers and others in Loudoun County, Virginia, compiled a lengthy list of parents suspected of disagreeing with school system actions, including its teaching of controversial racial concepts \u2014 with a stated purpose in part to \u201cinfiltrate,\u201d use \u201chackers\u201d to silence parents\u2019 communications, and \u201cexpose these people publicly.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Members of a 624-member private Facebook group called \u201cAnti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County\u201d named parents and plotted fundraising and other offline work. Some used pseudonyms, but The Daily Wire has identified them as a who\u2019s who of the affluent jurisdiction outside D.C., including school staff and elected officials.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/loudoun-teachers-attack-parents-protected-free-speech-mulls-banning-trump-flags\">later reported<\/a> that Interim Superintendent Scott Ziegler, in response to the furor that erupted after the revelation of the \u201cenemies list,\u201d said that \u201cLCPS has not adopted Critical Race Theory as a framework for staff to adhere to\u2026. but does have a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1C-g24K0U2-jwyyhPeCmX6b6oe9cM0mcYD3veFB292lk\/edit#heading=h.cah3njfbhkod\">Culturally Responsive Framework<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That 28-page document contains elements that echo key critical race theory concepts and was written in part by Equity Committee member Tara Hewan.\u00a0Hewan had called for the school system to\u00a0ban students from wearing materials related to former President Donald Trump, The Daily Wire noted.<\/p>\n<p>The Daily Caller <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/23\/recall-launched-against-school-board-members\/\">reported<\/a> on March 23 that a recall campaign had been launched by a group called Loudoun Parents for Education (LPE) targeting six members of the Loudoun County school board for \u201cneglect of duty, misuse of office, and incompetence in the performance of their duties\u201d after reports surfaced accusing them of participating in the Facebook group \u201cAnti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County\u201d that included calls to list parents who opposed Critical Race Theory being taught in schools or wanted in-person learning restored.<\/p>\n<p>LPE issued a press release stating, \u201cNot only is this a failure of their duty to represent their constituents, but it raises serious questions about Virginia\u2019s open meeting laws.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>An attorney for the GOP political action committee called The Virginia Project sent a <a href=\"https:\/\/virginiaproject.com\/files\/legal\/Beth-Barts\/Scan2021-03-23_152757.pdf\">cease-and-desist letter<\/a> to one of the six board members, writing:<\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"8\">\n<p><em>You commented to this Facebook group that you were concerned that Loudoun County parents opposed to the teaching of critical race theory or \u201cequity\u201d in Loudoun County Public Schools were \u201cgaining support\u201d and that your fellow school board members should be pushed to \u201ccall out statements and actions which undermine our stated plan to combat systemic racism at LCPS.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The letter continued by asserting that one member of the Facebook group had explained that volunteers were needed to infiltrate Parents Against Critical Theory (PACT) and similar groups, hack or shut down and hijack websites and organizations.<\/p>\n<p>The letter addressed the school board member: \u201cYou did not ask your fellow Facebook members to stop what they were doing, you did not rebuke or reprimand them, and you did not warn them about the risks of engaging in the above described illegal, reckless, inflammatory and irresponsible actions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
