McConnell said that any package must be limited to \u201ctraditional\u201d infrastructure items like roads, bridges and ports to gain GOP support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe proper price tag for what most of us think of as infrastructure is about $600-800 billion,\u201d McConnell said.<\/p>\n<p>Senate Republicans introduced a $568 billion infrastructure plan as counteroffer last month, and last week McConnell suggested that a $600 billion plan was a likely ceiling, not a floor.<\/p>\n<p>The $568 billion package, led by West Virginia Sen. Shelley Moore Capito, includes billions of dollars for roads, bridges, broadband, public transit, railroads, ports and more. (SAUL LOEB\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>McConnell and the three other congressional leaders are scheduled to meet with Biden at the White House Wednesday, where they will likely discuss Biden\u2019s infrastructure and families plans.<\/p>\n<p>Biden has said that he is willing to negotiate on his infrastructure package, and plans to meet with a bipartisan group of senators Thursday to discuss possible paths forward. He has also suggested openness to lowering his <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/03\/31\/joe-biden-infrastructure-plan-trump-tax-corporate-cuts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">proposed corporate tax increase<\/a> from 28% in order to secure bipartisan support.<\/p>\n<p>West Virginia Democratic Sen.
