I\u2019m the result of a culture that celebrates thinness &#038; equates that to worth, but I get to write my own narrative now. Y\u2019all don\u2019t know how science &#038; body works huh. My technical diagnosis is anorexia nervosa &#038; yes, I\u2019m still not ashamed. Being able to prioritize myself &#038; to be in recovery. Comment. On. My. Weight. Or. Perceived. Health. Keep. It. To. Yourself. Thanks.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes, I\u2019ve lost weight \u2014 I\u2019m healing from an eating disorder &#038; feeding my body regularly for the first time in my entire life,\u201d she continued. \u201cWhen you equate weight loss with \u2018health\u2019 &#038; place value &#038; worth on someone\u2019s size, you are basically saying that we are more valuable now because we are smaller &#038; perpetuating diet culture\u2026 &#038; that\u2019s corny as hell. NOT here for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor folks like me that are trying to reframe our relationships with our bodies &#038; heal, hearing comments about weight is triggering as hell,\u201d she said. \u201cIt sets us back in our progress \u2014 and when people working on themselves see you commenting to me that way, it hurts THEM, not just me. I can take it (I shouldn\u2019t have to, but I can) but they didn\u2019t ask for that trauma, ok?
