I made it all the way to the White House, which is something that has been at the very top of my career bucket list ever since I was a very little girl. But I\u2019ve just realized that there are a few other things on that list that I would like to try to tick off,\u201d Fisher said Friday on \u201cSpecial Report.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo before I go, I just want to thank Fox for trusting me with this beat and for giving me so many opportunities,\u201d she added. \u201cAnd Bret, it has been an absolute pleasure to work with you, the entire White House team, and everybody on the \u2018Special Report\u2019 team as well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201c<span class=\"css-901oao css-16my406 r-poiln3 r-bcqeeo r-qvutc0\">It\u2019s been an unforgettable ride. Her mother was recruited by NASA in 1978 as one of the first six female astronauts in the U.S., and in 1984 became the first mother in space.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI totally embarrass my younger daughter when I say \u2018Well, half of your DNA was in space,&#8217;\u201d Dr. Anna Fisher <a href=\"https:\/\/news.yahoo.com\/astronaut-anna-fisher-first-mom-223000481.html\">said<\/a> in \u00a02011 during\u00a0an interview for a NASA oral history. \u201cShe goes, \u2018Mom!\u2019 At least when she was younger, she would get embarrassed. She\u2019s probably proud of it now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fisher expressed interest in the Biden administration\u2019s space policy earlier this year when she <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/thehill\/status\/1377010494939267075\">asked<\/a> White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki,\u00a0\u201cWould it be fair to say that space policy is one of the few areas where President Biden actually agrees with his predecessor?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fisher joins a trail of Fox News reporters and anchors who have left Fox for CNN, including\u00a0Alisyn Camerota, Dave Briggs, Conor Powell, and Rick Folbaum.<\/p>\n<p>Her transition comes as CNN continues to struggle with ratings in the post-Trump era. The left-leaning network <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/lifestyle\/media\/media-trump-bump-slump\/2021\/03\/22\/5f13549a-85d1-11eb-bfdf-4d36dab83a6d_story.html\">lost<\/a> 45% of its primetime audience this year, the biggest loss in viewership of any network recently.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, CNN President\u00a0Jeff Zucker has publicly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thewrap.com\/cnn-boss-jeff-zucker-torches-fox-news-state-run-tv-pure-propaganda-machine\/\">bashed<\/a> Fox News in recent years as \u201cstate-run TV\u201d and a \u201cpropaganda machine\u201d that does an \u201cincredible disservice to this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are a handful of really good journalists there, but I think they are lost in what is a complete propaganda machine, and the idea that it\u2019s a news channel is really not the case at all,\u201d Zucker said in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
