According to police records, Bowling is facing charges of obscene communication, traveling to meet with a minor, and attempting lewd and lascivious molestation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/professional-golfer-arrested-after-trying-meet-15-year-old-girl-n1266653\"><span>NBC News<\/span><\/a><span>, Orlando police said Bowling was a \u201cdangerous online predator\u201d and that the conversations \u201cturned sexual in nature within the first 24 hours and intensified quickly.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Yes. I hope news of today\u2019s arrest encourages parents to be more proactive in monitoring their children\u2019s lives online.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9552769\/Golfer-Dan-Bowling-arrested-trying-meet-undercover-cop-posing-15-year-old-girl.html\"><span>Daily Mail<\/span><\/a><span>, this is not the first time that Bowling has been charged with crimes against children.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bowling was allegedly charged in 2018 for \u201cmasturbating in front of a window while watching children play in a pool\u201d in Osceola County, Florida. He was charged with indecent exposure and possession of drug paraphernalia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-9552769\/Golfer-Dan-Bowling-arrested-trying-meet-undercover-cop-posing-15-year-old-girl.html\"><span>investigators<\/span><\/a><span> on the case, \u201cDaniel denied masturbating at all, and stated he has never masturbated because of his religion. Daniel also denied seeing anyone in the pool.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bowling was given probation for the crime.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to the PGA Tour website, Bowling has not played on the tour since 2016. He played in seven PGA Tour events, making the cut just once and never finishing anywhere near the top of a tournament.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bowling\u2019s Instagram page is filled with golf related videos and pictures. His bio states \u201cPro golfer traveling PGA Tour events one Monday at a time.\u201d His most recent post came on April 26th, where he posted a video of himself on a golf course. The caption reads, \u201cDown in North Carolina for the Wells Fargo Monday qualifying. Been putting in the work last few weeks with my guys.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Wells Fargo Championship is taking place this weekend at Quail Hollow Golf Course.
