We are committed to working with the private sector and with the NGOs, attorneys, and advocates who have done tremendous work in support of these families.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>Advocates for the families are seeking to have them reunited inside the U.S., provided with compensation and social services, and granted permanent legal status to remain in the U.S.,\u201d NBC News continued, adding that \u201c<\/span><span>The DHS spokesperson did not address whether the Biden administration\u2019s system for providing \u201cstability\u201d would incorporate any of these specific measures.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe key will be that the Biden administration stays the course because there is a lot to do,\u201d said Gelernt. \u201cIt is one thing to get a few families back, but a whole other thing to scale up the process so it works smoothly for more than 1,000 families who remain separated, not to mention getting benefits for the thousands of others who need them.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In October 2020, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bloomberg.com\/news\/articles\/2020-10-29\/biden-says-he-will-work-to-reunite-migrant-families-on-first-day\"><span>Bloomberg News<\/span><\/a><span> reported that \u201cDemocratic presidential nominee Joe Biden\u2019s campaign announced that he would create a task force on his first day in office that would work to reunite the migrant children that the Trump administration separated from their parents at the U.S.-Mexican border.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During a presidential debate, Biden said that \u201ckids were ripped from their arms and separated and now they cannot find over 500 sets of those parents and those kids are alone,\u201d describing such a state of affairs as \u201ccriminal.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>However, as <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/family-separation-migrants-reunification-biden-4d251d63-c774-4c22-9839-3970a8d5c2ae.html\"><span>Axios<\/span><\/a><span> reported in early April, \u201cNot one of the hundreds of migrant families separated from President Trump\u2019s zero-tolerance policy has been reunited under President Biden thus far.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span>The Daily Wire is one of America\u2019s fastest-growing conservative media companies and counter-cultural outlets for news, opinion, and entertainment.
